    This was our first time at Nectar, which has been around for quite a few years, and gets good reviews. We enjoyed our meal, and though my scallops on an uozo risotto wasn't too my taste- my foodie companions LOVED the PAD Thai bowls! Said it was among the best they've had! I would have enjoyed the restaurant more, if the noise level was half what it was. We had a 6pm reservation so it was good in the beginning, but by 7 pm, when as more guests arrived- the noise level made conversation difficult without talking loud! The restaurant wasn't quite as upscale as I had expected from the reviews, starting with semi friendly reception on arrival, no tablecloths, and hurried service made it a bit underwhelming and more of a casual place, but it was still good food with an eclectic menu, which we liked.

    Everything was excellent. First, we sat at the bar and had Margaritas and the “Asian Manhattan (infused with 5-spice) which was so nice, I ordered it twice. For apps, we had the edamame dumplings and the calamari, which were perfect. The calamari was crisp and flavorful, while the dumplings were just an enhanced favorite of mine. For the main course, we had Crispy Chicken and the Moo Shu Pork, which are both phenomenal. We had the Francis Coppola to complement, which was great. We finished off the night with the Espresso Panna Cotta and coffee. Both were great, though I wish there was more Panna Cotta. Finished off the evening with a gentle nod from M. Night Shyamalan which, for a movie buff like me, just gift wrapped the evening for my birthday. We will be back to Nectar very soon. Cheers!
