Established in 1856, The National Hotel is one of Geelong's oldest licensed Pubs. With a diverse clientele and talented crew at the helm, we look forward to welcoming you whether you're here for a quiet drink on our Rooftop, quick Lunch or catching up with friends over dinner.

We have three unique level's located in the heart of Geelong's CBD.

Ring us to make reservations for a drink session between service times, and we will be more than happy to cater to your needs

We offer finger food packages for cocktail style events and there are 3 options available starting from $20 per person.

There are two function spaces available, our middle floor function room and our Rooftop terrace. Both areas have lift access, private bar and bathrooms and can cater for a maximum of 80 people for a cocktail style function. To hire out one of these rooms exclusively requires a room hire fee of $380. Please contact us for more information.

We booked on the roof top bar for my birthday, it was the perfect place to celebrate. The food was so good, exactly what I wanted. the staff were friendly and helpful. My only criticism was the music was on repeat and was a little too loud for conversation with some of the older guests. Also loved that there was a lift for after I had a few drinks and knew I couldn't tackle the stairs :)

We had friends travel down from Melbourne, especially for the Chicken Parma so that says it all. Food is always tasty, service was excellent (as per usual) and The National remains one of our favourite eating places in Geelong.

Myself and group of friends had a great experience. We chose to order at the bar as there were quite a few people there for drinks and staff seemed limited. Our table was in a quiet area downstairs. The menu variety was very good and we had a range of dishes - pasta, steak, trout and chicken. All were served to us at the same time and each meal was delicious. Our waitress checked that we were satisfied with our meal and even came to wish us well when we left. I have eaten occasionally at the National before and have never had a bad experience. I would definitely recommend The National.

Chicken burger was delicious but the eggplant parmi was almost unetable, the kale salad was disgustingly overpowered with olive oil

The express lunch options are excellent value for money. The food is very good and we have never been disappointed. Service was also good and meals were timely. One of our favourite pubs in Geelong.
