Housekeeping was polishing the floors next to us. It was super loud and annoying while I was trying to have a business conversation. Also, didn't they used to validate for valet parking?

It was my first time at narrative. I read the reviews and was excited to try it out for my friends and my birthday dinner. We arrived early for our reservation at 6:30 and were seated immediately. We had Dora as a server, and she was very informative on gluten-free and steered us in the right direction when ordering drinks. Unfortunately, it took about 25 minutes to get our drinks. We got our apps first and the burrata with GF bread and artichoke, which tasted amazing. We put in our food order and finished our apps. The time between the apps and the main course was around 45 minutes. We were genuinely surprised with how long it took to see the portion size. I ordered the short rib, and the flavor was delicious. But it was around three large bites, it was not warm, and there was one singular bok choy on top. Someone else in our group got the filet, and it was underseasoned, and everything tasted burnt. Overall, it was an underwhelming experience. Our server, Dora, seemed to be spread thin, running around the entire floor. She still treated us well.

Every thing we got to eat was delicious Nd staff was super helpful and sweet ! The ambience is chill yet elegant.

Very disappointed. We have been to Narrative several times and always enjoyed it. We brought out of town guests for brunch and had a frustrating experience. There were a couple of large tables and we are always understanding of that but the service was incredibly slow and inattentive. Our second server seemed to understand how we were being neglected and offered to comp us an order of mini donuts for the table. Very nice. 2 of 4 of our orders were wrong (as in ham in a “no ham” omelette) and took forever to correct. When the check finally came, we were charged for the donuts. We were so over it we just paid it and left. Not sure if/when we’ll go back. There was even a dog in the dining room (very obviously not a service animal) getting more service than us. Really disappointing….

Highly recommend. Service was excellent, impressive entrees, friendly staff & nice atmosphere. Thanksgiving dinner was fabulous:)

We went to Nerrative for Thanksgiving dinner. From the moment we entered the atmosphere seemed very nice and upscale. Host was very friendly and seated us promptly ( we had a reservation).Overall staff was very nice. Their options for Thanksgiving dinner did not impress us, for $75 you could choose: soup or salad,main course and dessert. So,we chose from regular menu: artichoke crockets wer great 👍,Bread service - dinner rolls were delicious. Tuna tar-tar was ok. Halibut with hashbroun crust was underseasoned and hashbrouns were nor crispy at all( pale white).I got crab cake with arugula salad - and my dish was way too salty and crab cake reminded me of the puck. Oreo ice cream was good, and a nice size portion. Coffee was very good. We did like that they had options for NA beer and wine too.

We appreciate that the restaurant is open on Thanksgiving and that they offer a prefixed Thanksgiving menu but that one can also order from the usual menu. The staff were kind and attentive, and the food was delicious.
