Café Napoli is a family owned restaurant, established in 1989 by Tony and Kathy Pietoso. Quickly becoming a success, they moved the small basement restaurant to a larger location at the corner of Forsyth and Bemiston in the heart of Clayton. In 2003, sons Ande and Kye expanded their family restaurant by adding Bar Napoli, a swank cocktail lounge. A few years later, Napoli Reserve was added onto Bar Napoli allowing for private event space and an additional bar and lounge for the weekends. After years of a flourishing business, Kathy and Tony decided to take their ventures West to Town and Country where they opened their second location, Napoli2, managed by Ande. Kye has taken the reigns from his father and is now the front man for the 8,000 square foot establishment in Clayton. Café Napoli and Bar Napoli have recently undergone a face lift inside and out. Inside the kitchen, Executive Chef from Napoli2 Jon Berger was recently added to the team, bringing fresh ideas and innovation to the regional Italian specialties.

It was a little strange that bartender did not want to serve us a drink while we were waiting for our table. Said she could not serve us if we didn’t have a table. Manager came over and “overrode” that idea. Otherwise great as always.

Could not have asked for a nicer dinner spot. The food was incredible and they have an awesome wine selection.

Maddie was our server and was outstanding! She was very attentive, knowledgable and friendly. The food was good overall though the only disappointment was the reservation was made weeks in advance through Open Table and when asked if there were any special requests I indicated it would be appreciated to have a vegan option or two. Maddie had noted the request but unfortunately the only thing the chef came up with was linguini with vegetables in a red sauce as the option. I ordered it but it was not anything close to the level or quality of the other dishes. Given the ingredients represented on the menu, I would have expected this level of restaurant to have been able to come up with something better.

My birthday lunch today was made so special by the wonderful staff and chef at Napoli 3. The shrimp and lobster scampi was one of the best dishes I have had and the cheesecake was totally delicious. Marshall, our magnificent server, was thoughtful and attentive to our every need. What more could you ask for on your birthday? I recommend Napoli 3 as the perfect place to celebrate any special event like a birthday.
