Nami Nori is a casual, Japanese restaurant specializing in open-style temaki hand rolls, located in Montclair. The menu features signature hand rolls, including crunchy varieties, as well as classic versions, and a special vegan section. Japanese-inspired dishes from the kitchen and desserts are also on offer.

We accept reservations up to 30 days in advance. Please note that the grace period is 10 minutes for guests who are running late. We kindly ask that guests respect our dinner seating times of 1 hr 30 minutes for parties up to 3 and 2 hours for parties of 4-5, and 2 hr 30 minutes for parties of 6 or more.

    There’s nothing better than sitting at the Temaki Counter and having the chef personally hand you each piece! This chef interactive reservation will be at the Temaki counter, which is a high top format. Please note, due to demand, we can’t guarantee that we’ll have the ability to move this reservation to a different table type or dining area.

  • Indoor Tables

    Plusieurs dates disponibles
    Grab a seat in our indoor dining room and enjoy a server driven experience! This reservation will be seated at a traditional table inside. Reservations at tables will receive their Temaki in complete sets. To guarantee the most crisp nori, each piece will be wrapped in a plant based wrapper that you’ll remove when you’re ready to enjoy! Please note, due to demand, we can’t guarantee that we’ll have the ability to move this reservation to a different table type or dining area.

    Always wonderful, never disappoints! Service was excellent. They remembered we had been there previously. Food is consistently excellent .

    Absolutely love the food it’s always so fresh and presented impeccably! The staff is so friendly and nice we really appreciate their attention to detail and communication with one another! It’s our second time here and will definitely come back. The ambience is amazing too can get loud but it’s so worth it!

    It great place to eat. I would reserve seats at the bar instead of a table. It allows you to savor each Temaki piece.

    The food quality was unmatched, best we’ve ever tasted. Awesome dining experience as well, loved being served right at the counter. Can’t wait to bring others.

    This place again had us freakin’ out with delight! So much so, we wondered, “Should we move to Montclair so we can eat here all the time?” For now, it is worth the drive!

    Exceptional staff, wonderful food, the music and din would be a bit loud but not overwhelming. The specialty is a specific type of sushi and the staff will help you, and the sushi was exceptional. Staff very friendly and attentive and kind.
