Namaste Village is a traditional yet progressive Indian restaurant, serving vegetarian & vegan food from different regions of India, which is healthy & delicious. We are the one Indian Restaurant in Norfolk (ref. Tripadvisor), featured in The Times as Britain's 8th best curry house & much more. Our recent survey showed that more than 70% of our regular customers are not vegetarian & do not miss meat when dining with us. So, us being vegetarian should not dissuade you from trying us but rather excite you!

A great place to eat, food beautiful! And brilliant for a Coeliac like myself, totally clued up regarding gluten free. Even offered to bake a poppadom for me as the fried ones used the same oil as gluten containing foods.

Food was edible but nowhere near the quality it needs to be for the price , or what I was expecting from reviews. Butter masala curry was watery and prawn starter was plain. Chilli chicken starter was good, as was the naan. Masala chips were awful, just under £7 and basically no seasoning on some frozen fries. Service was not great, not rude but waitress was not able to make a recommendation on the menu when asked about some items and didn’t take our drinks order until we were ready to order food. Plus was they did Blue Light Discount.

Food was good and the waitress serving us was amazing. However, while we (table of 2) were waiting for our table, a lot of 2s who came in after us got a table before us - even though we all had bookings for the same time and we arrived before them. Table we got was also by the stairs and at the back of the restaurant.

The food order came out incorrectly and in the wrong order. Some of the dishes were forgotten completely

Good was generally good but service was a real issue. Wine arrived and was in plonked on to table unopened. We then had to ask someone to open it as it was not a screw top and this took some time. We asked for water 4 times and it arrived mid meal. Saag Aloo was not a good dish- potatoes were hard baby potatoes with skin on. We had asked for a masala dosa to share for a starter but we waited for ages and then it came with our main dishes. We asked for the main dishes to be sent back until we finished our starter. We then waited for over an hour for the main course to arrive and had to ask numerous times where it was and kept being told ‘5 minutes’. 2 of the dishes didn’t come and we waited again for them ( hence the hard potatoes in the saag aloo) and temperature of food was lukewarm warm. It’s a shame as we had been here previously and had a good meal but this was a very poor experience and no apology or acknowledgment

Fantastic food. Great vegetarian restaurant with some innovative dishes. The navratan dish was really great. Pistachio lassi excellent. Best paneer dosa. Great staff.
