Mythos Taverna brings you on a trip to Greece & the islands, serving authentic dishes from across the region in beautiful Mediterranean surroundings.

Located in the famous Arcadian, just outside the Hippodrome with a beautiful heated terrace on theatre square, Mythos brings a true flavour of Greece to Birmingham.

Serving dishes such as marinated souvlaki grilled over our traditional Greek charcoal & a range of ‘mezze’ dishes such as hummus and the famous Greek feta salad along with a range of rose and syrup soaked pastries to finish.

Our wine selection has been sourced from all over Greece and we have a range of Greek beers and spirits. Be sure to visit Mythos for a true Greek experience & a taste of true Greek Hospitality.

Bottomless Mediterranean Mezze Brunch - £35

As a Mezze style, your plates will be served as and when they’re ready. Guests can have only one drink each on the table at the time. It will be replaced once it has been finished. Last orders will be 15 minutes before the end of your chosen time slot. All bookings require a £15 deposit to secure the booking. Deposits are fully redeemable against the total bill. Deposits will be forfeited should you decide to cancel your booking later than 48 hours prior to the reservation. Full payment in some instances may be required one week prior to the event. Please discuss this with management at the time of the booking.

They have a delightful Christmas menu for review, featuring four courses: For starters, guests can choose one dip and one starter. For the main course, there's a selection of main dishes. For dessert, there are traditional Christmas desserts to share. Please note that the entire party must order from the Christmas menu, and pre-orders should be placed at least a week before the booking. We had a variety of food. The moussaka was the best! And all food was of good quality.

Most of the food was really nice, portions were huge! Just the pork which didn’t taste nice, rock hard and very fatty. The halloumi, chicken, rice, chips, pitta, salad and feta cheese dip were all really tasty! I would say, we did feel rushed. The waitresses constantly watched us waiting for something to do, any empty glass was gone within half a second of being put down and they were straight over while we were still chewing to ask if we’d finished, we felt obliged to say yes. They add their own service charge which makes you feel like you have to pay a huge tip, and if you feel brave enough to ask for it off you’ll get questioned why. This then in turn puts you off tipping what you can afford altogether.

I booked for what I thought was a bottomless brunch but that was my mistake for not checking. The food from the main menu was disappointing, Moussaka was dry and pork was dry a d overcooked. We were looking forward to this and it was disappointing. It cost nearly £100, certainly not worth that. I wanted to book for a big family event after my first visit but sadly won’t be doing that. Our server was a bit brash and threw the food down rather than place it. What a shame for such a lovely venue

Lovely place a lot smaller than I thought staff were very polite kind and explained the menu they were just very busy a rushed around which is not there fault. The quality and quantity of the food was excellent. My only downside was not clean enough toilets.

The food and cocktails were incredible, great value for money and tasted so good! Great atmosphere (is quite loud) and beautiful venue. All the waiter staff were lovely. My only small critique would be that the hostess when we arrived could have been a bit more friendly. But would absolutely recommend it and go again!

Really nice brunch, food is delicious and the portions are really generous, cocktails are very good consistent quality! Staff were all lovely as well, my only very slight criticism was that towards the end of the time slot we needed to order our last drink, but then it took a while for the bill to come over and we could have snuck in one more cocktail :) very minor point though, really enjoyed it and will be back.

Not enough staff. Waiters working very hard but busy time 6pm. A wait to be served and for food. Asked for tap water never came. Moussaka very large portion. Not exceptional like one you microwave at home!!
