Mythos Taverna brings you on a trip to Greece & the islands, serving authentic dishes from across the region in beautiful Mediterranean surroundings.

Located in the famous Arcadian, just outside the Hippodrome with a beautiful heated terrace on theatre square, Mythos brings a true flavour of Greece to Birmingham.

Serving dishes such as marinated souvlaki grilled over our traditional Greek charcoal & a range of ‘mezze’ dishes such as hummus and the famous Greek feta salad along with a range of rose and syrup soaked pastries to finish.

Our wine selection has been sourced from all over Greece and we have a range of Greek beers and spirits. Be sure to visit Mythos for a true Greek experience & a taste of true Greek Hospitality.

    The closest I've ever come to eating at a Greek Taverna outside of Greece. We enjoyed the 3 course set price menu after the Hamilton matinee. While it seems quite expensive, you certainly get value for it. Portion sizes are enormous, but this does not come at the expense of quality, which was excellent. The fully stuffed spanakopita, tzatziki and pork souvlaki were just delicious, the souvlaki in particular, which was beautifully marinaded, grilled and caramelised to perfection but succulent and tender. They were even kind enough to box up dessert for us to take away as we were so full! Service was excellent, the atmosphere vibrant but not overpowering and it was worth every penny.     Absolutely gorgeous meal Staff were super friendly and kind and helpful. Had a giggle with us when helping to pick a wine to drink and have fab advice. The food was absolutely incredible everything was cooked and prepped to perfection. Will deffinatly return when we come back to Birmingham Fantastic food fantastic staff fantastic atmosphere

    GLUTEN FREE FRIENDLY Had a really great experience here before going to the Hippodrome. My mum is a celiac so is on a strict gluten free diet. There were a few options for her on the menu but the waiter also pointed out a few more options she could have that weren't marked as gluten free. He checked with the kitchen for everything else that we ordered an informed us what was safe for her in case she was going to share anything. All the meals we had were very tasty and the atmosphere was lovely, service was quick too so great for pre-theatre, plus it is directly opposite the entrance to the theatre.

    As always the food was fantastic. It’s a lovely restaurant. I only give 4* as it did take a long time for our drinks to come and it was a fairly quiet lunchtime.

    Easy to book, with reminder confirmation. Lovely decor and feeling in the restaurant. Good amount of waiting staff so great service, anything we needed was sorted asap. Fantastic food - we were all so full as we couldn’t stop eating. Pre-theatre menu was great; good value 4 courses with enough choice. Good drinks choice, both alcoholic and soft drinks. Definitely will be returning next time we’re in town :)

    Came with my Son and daughter in law pre theatre for their wedding anniversary. Had the 3 course mezze it was amazing so much delicious food to enjoy! The staff were really accommodating and super friendly. They made us extremely welcome and we had a fantastic time would thoroughly recommend it!!!

    Fabulous food and service. Only one suggestion for the Theatre menu is reduce the portion sizes - it's a bit much when you've got go and sit down for 3-4 hours after. That said it was delicious - the Gemistes was so tasty (vegetarian) and the pittas were pillow soft. Cannot recommend highly enough.
