Opened in April 2024 by a family that has been operating restaurants in and around Old Town for almost 50 years. Located in the heart of Old Town, Mystic has a diverse menu featuring Texas style smoked brisket, baby rack ribs & Carolina pulled pork. Meats are smoked low & slow in BBQ champion Myron Mixon's signature smoker that is front and center in our open kitchen. BBQ is just one part of this southern centric menu that also features fresh seafood including our signature spicy she crab soup, low country shrimp & grits & creole bouillabaisse. Not to be missed is the jumbo lump crab cake sandwich, which sets the standard for all of Old Town. Specialty sandwiches & unique salads are available all day in a casual setting that features upscale but moderately priced food. Great little wine list & large selection of draft beers are also available. Don’t forget about the “bananas foster” bread pudding with vanilla bean ice cream & brown sugar rum sauce.

This was my first time at Mystic and it was terrific. The food and beer choices were excellent. We had the shrimp and calamari appetizer which was great. The calamari were so tender and the best I've ever had. Brisket and ribs were also excellent. The servers were warm and so terrific. Mystic is a gem and I will definitely be back.

The sliders were so tasty. Crab cake with lump crab meat with no fillers. Had a wonderful meal and the staff were friendly. Will definitely go back.

Excellent food and service. Restaurant Week menu is perfect! Salmon, BBQ plate and shrimp and grits fabulous. Loved the easar salad!

We had a great meal at Mystic Barbecue. The service was attentive and the food was delicious. It’s a great value and so much better than the restaurant it replaced.

Fabulous food (ribs, fried green tomatoes with crab meat, barbecue Mac’n cheese, good N/A beer). Quick, friendly service. Will definitely return soon!

First time there. Overall good experience. Good was good, ambience is lovely, the service was very, very slow Will try again sometime

Inventive menus that doesn’t dissapoint. The service is good. The only issue was the noise heightened by rather rude dinners who felt it was okay to make a lot of laughter regardless that others had to suffer their excesses. We would definitely go back but only during off times as the acoustics are not good for normal conversations. This is a shame because the food is so delicious - maybe take-out next time?
