Welcome to Murphy's Taproom & Carriage House, in Bedford, New Hampshire. You're invited to try the creative cuisine of Executive Chef Todd Lytle and his team, from Lamb Osso Buco to Waygu Shepherd's Pie. Our Bistro Filet is a local favorite. All of our ingredients are brought in fresh, and many are sourced from local farms. Even the honey for our Hot Honey Salmon comes from a beekeeper in nearby Derry. Besides our large outdoor patio, our restaurant features several private dining rooms for your special occasions, as well as our 300-seat Carriage House. We have 32 craft beers on draft, a wide selection of bourbons and scotches, and a seasonally-rotating cocktail menu. Food was cold, no dark meat for turkey. Tip included in the bill @ 20% for a buffet !!!! (I only tip 10% - 15% on a buffet.) And the waitress didn’t deserve the tip she got, never checked on us until we were getting ready to leave. Service for drinks was extremely slow and never listened to what we ordered. For the money we spent it was not worth it and won’t be back again !!!!!

The food was stone cold - nothing was even warm and the waitress charged us $50 per person but it was supposed to be $45 per person- we did tell the Manager but wonder how many others were charged wrong

Overall, very good food. Dessert table was disappointing. Only one pie choice. Appetizers on appetizer table were not labeled. No turkey dark meat; apparently just white meat turkey breast (which was excellent.) All servers were incredibly friendly, helpful, and trying to create a great experience.

Thanksgiving Buffet at Murphy was exceptional! The atmosphere is beautiful, we were sat in the restaurant in a small room with just 3 tables, so it was quaint & quiet, which was exactly what we wanted for our small get together. The Buffet was extremely well stocked, and the food was delicious. I personally was super excited about the gravy fountain!! We were a little thrown off by the fact that when we placed our drink order, they had to go out to get Bloody Mary mix! ?what? How does a bar not have a huge batch of Bloody Mary mix all ready for the all day buffet??!! It took over a half an hour to get those drinks & honestly they were extremely underwhelming…. Basically a bottled mix with vodka…. No garnish, horseradish or Worcestershire….. not even celery (what!) We had not been to Murphys Taproom in Bedford before this & honestly this was not a great first impression.

I could not believe how dead it was considering how wonderful the food and service was. It was Sunday night and there was not another customer in the restaurant. Will definitely go there again.

Adorable restaurant… great server but the drinks, appetizers and food took an extremely long time. Food was average tasting but there was a very good selection of foods.

We had dinner on Labor Day afternoon on the patio. There was a guitarist playing and singing tunes from the 70s and 80s, very good selections and a good performer. The food was very tasty. The cauliflower appetizer was unusual and really delicious. So was the citrus shrimp appetizer. Both appetizers were generous servings. Wife enjoyed her cocktail and they have a good wine list. Wife had a grilled crabcake sandwich & I had swordfish kebab. Both were good. Waitress was very attentive and pleasant.
