Welcome to Murphy's Taproom & Carriage House, in Bedford, New Hampshire. You're invited to try the creative cuisine of Executive Chef Todd Lytle and his team, from Lamb Osso Buco to Waygu Shepherd's Pie. Our Bistro Filet is a local favorite. All of our ingredients are brought in fresh, and many are sourced from local farms. Even the honey for our Hot Honey Salmon comes from a beekeeper in nearby Derry. Besides our large outdoor patio, our restaurant features several private dining rooms for your special occasions, as well as our 300-seat Carriage House. We have 32 craft beers on draft, a wide selection of bourbons and scotches, and a seasonally-rotating cocktail menu. We had dinner on Labor Day afternoon on the patio. There was a guitarist playing and singing tunes from the 70s and 80s, very good selections and a good performer. The food was very tasty. The cauliflower appetizer was unusual and really delicious. So was the citrus shrimp appetizer. Both appetizers were generous servings. Wife enjoyed her cocktail and they have a good wine list. Wife had a grilled crabcake sandwich & I had swordfish kebab. Both were good. Waitress was very attentive and pleasant.

My husband and I decided to dine there for our wedding anniversary. Our first time there. The food was delicious! Hamburger was perfectly cooked. The steak and cheese spring rolls were out of this world. Had I known they were that good I would have just ordered those for my meal with a salad. We ate outside. Sort of wish they made the outdoor seating behind the restaurant instead of next to the highway. Inside the restaurant is gorgeous. We will definitely be back

We ordered 2 salads "Without Onions" Both arrived with LOTS of raw onions. One salad was sent back the other my wife spent 5 minutes picking out the onions....

We had drinks, apps, and pizza. All the apps were excellent but the pizzas were overcooked. Crust was very hard. Our server was fantastic!

Food was served cold, Fish had large bone down the center of the cod, onion ring were saturated with oil. Roll around Bao Bun was very moist/wet. Took about an hour to receive food. They were in a rush to clear table even though there were only 3 other couples there. For the price you pay for the food, you expect it to be edible and the service to be the same.

Overall very poor experience. Took 30 minutes to get drinks, fish/food was undercooked, forgot about our appetizer and the waitstaff was very slow. A staff member cut off my 99 year old grandmother while walking to the restroom rather than just waiting in line like everyone else’s and shows disrespect to our older population and thus also trips her up as she is unsteady on her feet. We will not be back.

There should have been some type of potato to go with the prime rib, pork, chicken and fish and not just carrots. There should have been the choice of another vegetable. There was much too much dressing on the Caesar salad. It wasn't enough fruit. The fruit dish was much too small and there should have been a larger selection. The food was not hot. The server was lighting the flames underneath the dishes and the food was not warm. When I went up the second time I made sure I chose the food at the bottom to get warmer food. I love chocolate fountains but this one fell short of the items to go into it in the taste of the chocolate. The orange juice tasted like water. They also put in a mandatory 20% gratuity for a buffet for only 2 people. We normally give 20% one more for a server at a full service restaurant for buffet we usually give only 10% as the person is only taking away dirty dishes. I will not go back to their buffet again

The Mother’s Day brunch was good, but I wish they had offered more than carrots for a side to the lunch options.

Everything was great except when received the check and was going to pay through square and there was an additional tip added and additional tax added and the deposit initially paid was not deducted. Ended up paying the waitress and did mention the difference to her. She advised that she would tell manager but no feedback when receipt was returned.
