Muraya, a culinary haven located in the heart of Southend, Charlotte founded by a charming couple with a deep love, for food, cocktails and hospitality. Our journey began with a heartfelt inspiration drawn from the vibrant city of Cartagena. Every dish we create is a tribute to its rich culture, mesmerizing colors, and captivating history.
At our restaurant, we pour our passion for Colombian cuisine into every plate we serve. They need to get more organized! Great place, live music and god drinks . But our wait was terrible. We had to wait 30 min for our reservations because they were behind schedule . I understand, but not our fault. The food was delicious and the drinks were stiff and fair. Music was great but staff had got to have some sense of urgency.

This was our first time visiting Muraya. We loved the feel of the restaurant however it was very loud so it was hard to talk to each other. The food was amazing. Our server was really nice but it was evident she had too many tables as she would disappear for long periods of time. We sat for about 20-25 minutes waiting for our drinks. We are debating if we will return or not. We see what a great place Muraya is…we just are questioning the loudness and the service.

Really nice place; friendly staff; great menu options. Food and cocktails were tasty and unique. Food was also visually pleasing; nice presentation. Both tapas and individual plates available. Good vibes for a lively dinner.

We met friends for brunch and had an ok experience. The food was unremarkable. The Benedict eggs were well overcooked and the salmon was very meager. We had arepas with several dishes and all were stodgy and cold. The drinks were pretty good and the service was fine. The best part of the experience was each others’ company. I will not return.

The experience was good. Food and staff combination make the experience enjoyable. Will be going again for sure.

It was our first time here and probably last. The value is poor. I had an open table certificate to use and chose to use it at this place. As my reward they chose to qualify it as a discount and penalized us by a mandatory 20% tip. These are not the rules of Open Table. We spent thousands of dollars to even earn this measly $50 certificate. We ordered a Zinfandel wine and the server brought us a sparkling rose saying that it was being substituted for the Zinfandel. The food was ok , but the prices were high based on what you received. Stay away, they are deceitful in using the open table certificates. They are reimbursed for these it is not a discount as the manager imposed.

Tostadas were drenched in a tamarind sauce and you couldn’t taste anything but the sauce. Couldn’t eat it. Server was very nice!
