Mulino Italian Kitchen and Bar, a locally owned Italian restaurant that has been named one of Raleigh's best by Raleigh Magazine. Located in the heart of downtown Raleigh, minutes from the Raleigh Convention Center, Mulino offers an authentic dining experience that showcases the rich flavors and traditions of Italy. Guests can enjoy classic Italian dishes made with fresh ingredients, perfectly paired with wines from Italy & beyond.

Mulino’s inviting atmosphere includes cozy indoor seating & a beautiful outdoor patio, available on a first-come basis. Mulino can accommodate parties from 2 to 250 guests. For groups of 12 or more, a special large-party menu is available to enhance your dining experience.

Parking is available at 209 N. Dawson Street, 329 N McDowell Street, and streetwise along Lane Street.

I got a last minute reservation for 10 people at Mulino for a birthday dinner and our group had a fantastic experience. Our waitress Luana was absolutely amazing and helpful! She made the evening super great and the birthday girl had such a lovely time! The wine selection was great and the Casta Diva cocktail was so good! I loved the gnocchi with the truffle cream sauce - like little pillows in my mouth!

The food was amazing, 10/10, and the service was equally impressive. Our waitress was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and had a great personality. However, my only issue was with our seating. Despite requesting a table away from the center for a quieter, more intimate experience, we were seated next to a large party with loud children, which was the opposite of what I was hoping for. I had made this request in the notes, and I was surprised the host didn’t take it into account. Ironically, the patio area seemed quieter and even warmer, despite being outdoors. Overall, the meal was fantastic—probably one of the best steaks I’ve had—and the service was top-notch. I’d just recommend offering guests more flexibility in choosing their seating, especially when specific preferences are noted.

I took my wife and our friends here for a birthday celebration and it didn’t disappoint! The lasagna was out of this world. It’s a great place for either casual night out or something a little more fancy
