Very nice starter and main (mackerel pate and pork belly). Cheesecake dessert was nice but probably the least memorable of the 3.

Decided to try this restaurant for evening meal, unfortunately the food we ordered was not that good, pretty mediocre. I had the spice burger with fries, unfortunately the fries were cold and the burger had a few bits of gristle which I was very disappointed about as expected a better burger for the price. My partner had the catch of the day and ordered a side of mushrooms that were also cold. We mentioned this to the waitress and she just said thanks for for letting us know. We will definitely not be back again as expected a higher quality of food for the price. The cheesecake dessert was not the best as not really a biscuit base just some dried crumbs morelike a powder.

Poor service right from the start, went to fetch condiments and brought the wrong stuff for a Sunday roast. Seated next to the ladies toilet which doesn't have a functioning door close that works, no air gap door so all toilet smells just hot you in the face and the noise from mums and kids was awful. My.missus helped an elderly disabled lady in and out of the wc as the staff were not being helpful. On her way back to her table she fell at a cleverly disguised ramp connection on the floor....no sign or warning colour on the ramp. My missus again went straight to her aide with the help.of 2 other customers, and at no time did any.of the staff intervene to help, service just kept going...the 3 girls them helped her to her feet without one of 6 staff in the area stopping to help or apologise.... So, the meal, one potato cut in half, dirty tasteless carrots a flattened yourkshire pudding, bland vegetables, the best thing about my Sunday lunch was the coffee that I had in Nero's. The meal was awful. We asked to see the manager, got an assistant manager who clearly didn't know how to deal or speak with a grown up, he wouldn't even tell us his name. When we were pointing points across in a call manner, all he did was shake or nod his head and then walked off. We eventually got the bill 45 mins after we asked for it. They could do with a visit auditor. The poor old girl didn't even go in the accident book!!

A really nice welcome and they had obviously read my comments from when I booked. Music playing was unobtrusive and definitely to our liking. Both starters and main courses were great. The salmon was perfectly cooked. We eat out a lot all over the world and would have no hesitation in eating here again.

We enjoyed our meal here, I chose this restaurant after I had searched for restaurants near where we were staying and this was one of the ones that came up, I then also like to just check reviews on trip advisor which were good. We had an enjoyable meal and the 3 gentleman who were serving us could not have been more helpful and attentive, it was busy and lots of locals it seemed to, which is always a good sign I think. Even so we did not wait for our food, we had olives whilst waiting for our food and there was a good choice of gins too. I had the courgette and pesto tart with potato salad and rocket salad, I think I would have preferred this with hot potato and veg on reflection and the tart was not nearly hot enough for my liking, I am sure that they would have improved this if I had asked them to though, I do feel if you have to do this though it spoils the meal you are having. My husband enjoyed his choice of the bread crumbed chicken thighs burger, we enjoyed a blackberry cheesecake which was seasonal and we really like it, thank you
