Rising star Executive Chef Colin Sato has redefined the Mugen dinner experience with his new five-course menu, designed in collaboration with Pastry Chef Jamon Harper and in consultation with renowned Chef Alan Wong. Featuring seasonal and local ingredients, diners can choose from myriad options within each course while sipping inventive cocktails or exploring wine from Mugen’s extensive collection, honored with the Wine Spectator "Best Of" Award.
Previously offered exclusively to ESPACIO guests, the reimagined Mugen breakfast experience showcases acclaimed Pastry Chef Harper’s morning indulgences in an elevated, fine dining setting.

Let them know you are going to Mugen and walk towards Kalakaua under the covered awning. From there turn right and we are immediately past the ABC store.<br />

"Immerse yourself in the splendor of a Hawaiian sunset from our rooftop poolside venue, offering a breathtaking panorama of Waikiki. Please note that the visibility of the setting sun varies throughout the year, and while the sky will remain beautifully lit up, the setting orb of the sun may be partially obscured, offering a unique and intimate ambiance.” Minimum Two guests ($280 for two): One ounce Golden Osetra Caviar - (serves two), Includes two glasses of house Champagne (Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve), cured egg yolk, chives, creme fraiche, shallots, smoked sturgeon pate, taro chips, and buttermilk blinis. Additional ounce of caviar available at $180 per tin. This is an outdoor event and is limited to one hour.

An absolutely amazing experience! We tried their prefix menu with the Tomahawk steak and it was divine. The wine pairing and their recommendations were spot on, we spoke with their sommalier and he has such a wealth of information. We will definitely return upon a different trip to Waikiki.

Best meal of 2024 for us. Every dish was spectacular, service was great, and wine pairing was very fun. We’ll be back.

Hands down one of the most enjoyable, sophisticated, elegant meals I’ve had the pleasure of hosting. Eduardo our server was 100% on it, service was perfectly paced, interaction was perfectly balanced, attention was perfect. The food- sublime, “stop talking, I’m enjoying this”, contemplative, downright delicious. Everyone in our group loved every course, loved every wine pairing, loved every presentation. Truly a world class experience- I look forward to sharing this experience with others!

Truly a hidden gem in Waikiki. Food and service was outstanding with much of the dishes using locally sourced produce and protein options. We had the 6-course prix-fixe menu that offered several delectable choices for each course. The portions, though not large, were sufficient to satisfy our appetite.

A 5 star exquisite journey from start to finish. Mary greeted us and guided us through an exceptional 13 course afternoon tea experience with surprises and visits from chef Jamon. We thoroughly enjoyed this unique experience. We highly recommend this.

We attended a special event that Mugen will sponsor occasionally for our first visit. It was identified as "wild Side" and included venison, Wild Boar, Bison and Squab (it was supposed to also include kangaroo but couldn't pry the kangaroo meat out of California). Since we love eating exotic meats while traveling in Australia and Africa, we were very excited. The food was wonderful! And for a tasting menu, the sizes were perfect. Not to mention the wine pairing. It was a very small intimate restaurant which I really enjoyed- and quiet! I do not like restaurants where the noise level prohibits conversation. We asked to be added to their email list for their next events. Their regular menu also looks terrific and will go back to experience that as well. The service was terrific! They also offer champagne and sunset and tea events which I think is really interesting.
