I am a sucker for Bangers & Mash and I must say that the offering from the Mountain View was one of the best I have had.

We have been to Mt View on numerous occasions and food has always been good value. We know how busy it gets on footy nights, and made sure to book well in advance. When you book a table here, you are asked if you are coming before/after a footy game and if so, which game. Apparently this is so the venue can make sure you get to keep your table until 15 minutes prior to the game. AGain, they ask this when you book, we didn't make a big deal by saying we had anywhere to be! Once we arrived for our BOOKED table, we sat looking at the menu and went downstairs to order. We were told there was an hour and a half to two hour wait on food, and the footy game started in an hour and a half. Tell me, what is the point in BOOKING FOR DINNER and specifying exactly what time you'd need to leave if there is not going to be any dinner? This is an old and long-running pub, they know how busy they get and how many patrons they allow in during peak time. They have had YEARS to be better organised for these nights. So our group missed out on dinner and had to get hotdogs at the MCG. One of our friends is a vegetarian and had to have a cup of chips as her whole dinner. I feel like I let everyone down as I was the one who chose dinner and booked and I am so wildly angry and disappointed in the level of disorganisation and lack of care by Mt View. What a disgrace.

Never disappointed even when the place is crazy busy because of the footy. Enough staff so didn't take forever for drinks. Food was delicious as always. Love the new Reno's.

Great pre MCG Game food. Easy walking distance to the G. Highly recommend booking a table to ensure you get a space. Burgers were good, tacos were tasty, but a little light on filling. Overall will be back
