A Family Tradition For Over 80 Years

Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant first opened in 1934 with Mrs. Knott and her children serving the first customers in their tea room. The restaurant has grown over the years into one of the largest in California, but the classic fried chicken dinner is still made the same way today using Mrs. Knott's recipes.

Every complete chicken dinner includes handmade biscuits, side salad, choice of cabbage or cherry rhubarb, three pieces of fried chicken, and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. For dessert: your choice of boysenberry pie or boysenberry sherbet. Many other dishes are also available including grilled chicken, salads, and a number of appetizers. A full-service bar, serving signature boysenberry-infused cocktails, is also available.

Currently, we are following all government-issued regulations and seating is currently outside only. Thank you in advance for understanding and we are in this together.

Big disappointment. The best part of the meal was the biscuits. Knotts boysenberry jam isn’t the same. Has a funny taste. The pie was awful. Nothing like it used to be. Salad tasted bitter. Potatoes tasted instant. Gravy bland. Corn tastes canned. Cabbage was dry. Raising Canes and Disneyland chicken is 100% better. Even Chick-fi-La is better. It tasted reheated and old.

The service was great but they were slammed as it took a while to get boxes and refills as the staff was so busy. They were great as they kept checking in to remind us it was coming. The food was great as usual and staff Tha ked us for making time as this was a fast lunch and shop visit before heading home to AZ.

I’ve been to Knott’s Chicken restaurant many times, but this time the food was TERRIBLE!Chicken was extremely overcooked cold and dried out, the side dishes were cold as well. However, the boysenberry pie and ice cream was very good.

Oh dear! What happened to the quality of food here? My sister and I are visiting from out of state and purposely made it a point to go to Knott's Berry Farm as our first stop, including dining at Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner. Firstly, everyone was extremely inviting and friendly! We initially had a reservation for 4:45 but they accommodated us and allowed us to dine earlier in the afternoon since we were done at the theme park. One of us got the fried chicken meal and the other got roasted chicken. Neither meal was enjoyed- ended up packing it up but sadly, probably won't end up eating the leftovers. The fried chicken was DRY. The roasted chicken was overly spicy. Even the mashed potatoes and gravy tasted like a bottle of pepper was thrown in. The only edible and enjoyable pieces of our meals were the salads and biscuits. For an almost $60 bill, we were incredibly disappointed! Also- skip the boysenberry lemonade we were charged $6.99 each for; not worth it!

It was a wonderful experience, Anthony P. He was the best writer. He knew what it was like to diner with small children. He helped us by separating some things so there wasn't any drama. We arrived at noon, and that was a good time for quite before the place filled up. The food was good and we'll worth the money.

Food is not what it use to be when the Knott family owned the place. Very disappointed and won’t go back.
