A Family Tradition For Over 90 Years

Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant first opened in 1934 with Mrs. Knott and her children serving the first customers in their tea room. The restaurant has grown over the years into one of the largest in California, but the classic fried chicken dinner is still made the same way today using Mrs. Knott's recipes.

Every complete chicken dinner includes handmade biscuits, side salad, choice of cabbage or cherry rhubarb, three pieces of fried chicken, and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. For dessert: your choice of boysenberry pie or boysenberry sherbet. Many other dishes are also available including grilled chicken, salads, and a number of appetizers. A full-service bar, serving signature boysenberry-infused cocktails, is also available.

Currently, we are following all government-issued regulations and seating is currently outside only. Thank you in advance for understanding and we are in this together.

Food wasn’t as good as ordering off the menu, it seemed. I thought they offered more sides but it was the same sides as ordering off of the menu. I love Mrs. Knotts but I would not do the buffet again.

Senior buffet was super disappointing! Lukewarm sides, tough dry chicken, thick glue-like potatoes with thin watery gravy. Service pretty much MIA. Definitely not the quality we were accustomed to from Mrs. Knotts!

Buffet was good. The restaurant could have used more staff. It was very busy when we went for the Senior Buffet

Service a great. We went to the special Senior Buffet. Disappointed that the food was lacking flavor, from the chicken to the berry pie. The chicken noodle and the chicken and dumplings soups were very good!

Biscuits and fried chicken were absolutely amazing. The lunch is way over priced. The gravy had too much flour. I would like to see a different vegetable besides corn. The service and restaurant was awesome

We have not been back here still around 30 plus years with our daughters girl scout troops back then. Now we're able to have this new experience with our almost 5 year old grandson seeing it through his eyes and this new experience all.
