A Family Tradition For Over 80 Years

Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant first opened in 1934 with Mrs. Knott and her children serving the first customers in their tea room. The restaurant has grown over the years into one of the largest in California, but the classic fried chicken dinner is still made the same way today using Mrs. Knott's recipes.

Every complete chicken dinner includes handmade biscuits, side salad, choice of cabbage or cherry rhubarb, three pieces of fried chicken, and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. For dessert: your choice of boysenberry pie or boysenberry sherbet. Many other dishes are also available including grilled chicken, salads, and a number of appetizers. A full-service bar, serving signature boysenberry-infused cocktails, is also available.

Currently, we are following all government-issued regulations and seating is currently outside only. Thank you in advance for understanding and we are in this together.

    Join us on select Tuesdays in June and July from 3pm-5pm for a delightful senior buffet offering. Indulge in a variety of delicious dishes, including our famous fried chicken, savory sides, and delectable desserts. Guests under 65 must accompany a guest 65 or older to attend this buffet experience.

    This restaurant in the past was a 5 star exceptional food, and service. It's gone so far down hill overall, actually very sad. Salad bad, rhubarb bad, gravy bad. Chicken and pie were decent

    Melanie was our server she served us a wonderful chicken dinner !!It was our granddaughter 16th birthday & Melanie made sure we had everything we needed.She was very nice and helpful

    Recommend highly to continue senior buffet and at the $18.50 price. Was disappointed on my second visit that my knott’s pass was not accepted.

    We were seated very quickly for the Senior Buffet. The food was hot and delicious. Only issue was the buffet ran out of plates.
