Mr. Wabi is a blend of sophisticated Asian fusion street food with eclectic cocktails, tap beer and boutique wine to cater for the urban professionals in the heart of Fortitude Valley.

Wabi means to accept the aesthetics and the beauty of imperfection. This connects a deep meaning between street food that’s imperfect in nature and accepting the beauty within as the dishes are upgraded to appeal to a more sophisticated palate.

Staff were very attentive, but that's where it ended. We ordered the $88 banquet. The duck and chicken were dry and tasteless. Every sauce, on every meal tasted the same, and the wagyu beef tasted like shaved silverside. Shallot pancake was good, but I added that on. There was a table known to the manager that was passing drugs to each other out in the open with kids nearby, then heading to the toilet every few minutes. Music was loud, so everyone was yelling across a small table. Not the experience I was expecting after reading all the "good" reviews.

Had a great variety of food with a few different cocktails to share. The wide variety of food we chose was all delicious and came out very quickly. Will definitely be coming back here when we return to Brisbane.

Fresh, modern, fun and delicious. We ordered the banquet and dumplings and were not disappointed. Every dish was incredibly well balanced, fresh and delicious. Brilliant cocktails as well! Super friendly staff who were very attentive. Loved the music and atmosphere too! We will be back!

Food was average. Salt and pepper calamari a little greasy and needed more salt and pepper. Portion size was good. Peking duck pancakes were in fact pecking duck spring rolls. Lamb dumplings were tasty but wrapping was hard and big inconsistency in size. Drinks we're good. More attention needed by staff around drinks and clearing table. Overall I won't be rushing back

Great food - service was a little too quick ! Was completely full -including a large party which made conversation somewhat difficult - but I would return and recommend. Food was excellent

We arrived on time at 730pm were seated and placed our order for drinks then food which was very good quality. However 5 minutes after placing our food order and before receiving any dishes the server said that the kitchen will be closing in 5 minutes and would we like to order anymore food this was at 8pm. We received our food after the kitchen closed and started eating. A short time later 10 minutes the server returned and said the bars closing do we want any last drinks. We had not even received all our dishes at this time. Consequently we wanted another drink and desert but we were unable to order and enjoy the remainder of our dinner. Be aware that it would be better to book an earlier time slot for dinner if you want to enjoy an un-rushed experience, I would suggest 6-630pm latest. I read previously that the music was loud but found it fine and the staff were friendly and the food was delivered to the table in good time. Food was great other than the early closing of the kitchen.

Food , drinks, service, location all excellent. It was just too loud, we were under a speaker having to shout at eachother to have a conversation
