Mr. Tipple’s heralds back to a 1950s NYC basement. Cozy. Dark. Boozy. The intimate setting features local jazz artists up close and personal. It’s a joint where you come as you are, hear great music, tap your toes, and sip a properly chilled cocktail.

My name is Mr. Tipple. Just a simple and laughable bloke hailing from London. I run a recording studio. My friends joke that you’ll oft find me spinning cocktails, not reeling tape. After a few too many, I usually just sit back and enjoy the music, having forgotten to hit record. Regardless, the band is always jiving, the whiskey is always cold, and we’re having a smashing good time.

Good food, nice staff, but had to wait outside in the cold to get (slowly) checked in. Also very noisy inside which disrupted the wonderful musicians so couldn’t appreciate the music. Also their policy by placing singles at the back bar, and not allowing singles to sit at a table (reserved for 2 or more) seems a little restrictive and a turn off. Can understand, from a business perspective, but why not give the option to “share” a table with another single/or a couple? Really don’t like to write reviews, but my last experience there wasn’t comfortable and inviting at all. Have apprehensions of returning unless there’s a group that I really want to hear.

Such helpful staff! They accommodated changes in my reservation with speed and politeness. I also learned that Mr. Tipple's is for all ages! We had the best time with our teenage daughter!

We had amazing service both from our waiter and the rest of the staff. Water glasses never went dry and they were quick to take orders and more beverages. Fabulous music and drinks. I loved all the food except one item we ordered. Seriously the best service from any bar/club I’ve been to. Additionally they were very accommodating with reservation changes

Experience was odd. Have to leave a credit card at the door before entering after already prepaying for music. Microphones on music too loud and over modulated. Too many rules. Not relaxing. Only allowed 90 minutes at table. Very rushed. Food & cocktails the highlight of evening. But so convoluted - we will not return.
