Located at the Crowne Plaza Albany - The Desmond Hotel, Mr.D's serves a modern American menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner from Executive Chef Michael St. John and his award-winning culinary team.

Guest favorites include our Skillet breakfasts, Drunken Goat Cheese Salad, Pancetta Wrapped Shrimp and Desmond Bread Pudding. Happy Hour is 4:30-6:30PM daily with small plate specials and $2 off draft beers, wines by the glass and listed specialty cocktails. Weekend Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday featuring delicious specials such as Filet Eggs Benedict and Cinnamon Swirl Pancakes.

Staff didn’t greet quickly, the place wasn’t busy. Looked at the bookings for several seconds, then were like … ok . The waitress then escorted us t our table. She was friendly, not over the top. No food suggestions. Prices were good . Food came out in a timely manner but, because it was so COLD in there , my burger was very cold by the second half. That was a huge downfall in my grading of your place. I almost froze to death and, then my food became cold way too fast.

It was the first time for my three friends and we all enjoyed it. The wait staff were great.

There was a large table of people right next to us and was noisy. We should have been seated further away.

Mr. D’s did not disappoint, the decor and ambiance was very nice, our meals were excellent and the staff was very attentive from the moment we walked in, the hostess was extremely nice and our waiter Michael was absolutely the best.

First time to Mr. D's and can't say enough positive things about the experience! From the hostess to the wait staff to the manager. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just want to go out for a good dining experience, I would highly recommend!

Had filet mignon, was dry with very little flavor. Waitress was awful, waited 20 minutes for a drink, and food came out cold. Drunks at the bar yelling and dropping F bombs. Definitely would not go back for dinner. Breakfast the next day was very good and reasonably priced.
