From the moment you enter you are welcomed as a special guest. The dining room is smaller than most with excellent acoustics that allow for a wonderfully intimate experience and comfortable conversation even for those who have hearing challenges . The servers truly know their menu and how to order so as to be able to taste and share a variety of choices all of which were delicious. I especially enjoyed the chicken satay, all the dumplings, the duck and that amazing drunken fish. The chocolate cake dessert was beyond incredible !! Cannot wait to return!!

The service and food were excellent! It is definitely a culinary experience that takes Chinese cuisine to the next level. It is great for a special occasion or a business dinner. Be prepared, however, to spend some $$$$. Portions are rather small for the price and the bill adds up quickly. For instance, just 1 single small chicken satay skewer is $16 each and side dishes are $28 each. The Ma Mignon which was not big is $70. But again, worth it for a special occasion... occasionally...

Customer service is TOP TIER!!! This service should be studied. They deserve a portion of my paycheck for the next month. The green prawns are amazing.

Service was exceptional! Food was excellent. Noise level was ok. It was hard to hear the waiter. Somewhat overpriced!

The worst experience I have ever had! The waiter insisted to for me to order food that I don’t want and other waiters also insisted for me to order a drink that contains percentage of alcohol although I mentioned to them more than once that I don’t drink alcohol alcohol don’t respect my decision they don’t respect me They kept staring at me while eating my food. I wasn’t eating comfortably!

The overall experience as a whole was lovely. We stopped in last minute on our honeymoon and had a delicious meal, wonderful service, and a beautiful night. Thank you for such great food, service and ambience.

I dined at Mr. Chow this year in NY and was excited to visit the LA location. It was so disappointing. Our party of 5 love Beijing Duck, having eaten it in restaurants across the US and in Beijing. The Beijing duck was very good. However, unlike in the NY location, you could order it only if you ordered the expensive semi prix-frixe option. So we were forced to order 4 appetizers and 2 entrees. The appetizers were ALL mediocre. The vermicelli with lobster was bland and devoid of lobster. The stuffed crab claws had an indistinguishable seafood stuffing and were dry. The water dumplings were garden variety neighborhood Chinese fare. The chicken satay was good. The lamb shank entree was a bit dry. The crab with egg whites weren’t memorable. It was “light” on flavor; light on crab; and light on creativity. The string beans with garlic sauce were very good, but the vegetable fried rice wasn’t fried rice at all and added nothing. So, the main event arrived. They showed us a beautiful roasted duck and then whisked it away. We didn’t see it cut, and it looked liked the same duck shown to diners at an adjacent table. What returned from the kitchen appeared to be less than half of what had been presented. Nonetheless, the skin was crisp and the meat succulent and tender. All in all not worth the excessive price. Add to that horribly aggressive waitstaff - who tried to tell us what to order, leaving us to repeatedly ask for 5 minutes to review the menu to decide. They tried to upsell us to order glasses of overpriced cognac or champagne before they brought food menus. They wanted us to follow their formula, giving little thought to what we actually wanted. Mediocre food + aggressive and inattentive staff + exorbitant prices for Chinese food = a disappointing meal!!!
