This 3.5 San Francisco Chronicle rated and three year running 1 Michelin Starred Restaurant is a follow up to Mourad Lahlou's Michelin starred Aziza. Mourad is a modern interpretation of a cuisine deeply rooted in the past. The food was amazing but the service was very slow. It took almost 3.5 hours for the 8 of us to complete our meal. I love Mourad but this time it was so slow I’m a little hesitant to come back next time

The service was truly terrible. We sat with unbussed dishes and had empty drinks through two courses - our server had to be flagged down for the wine list and never returned, our food got cold while we waited to order wine. Frankly it was horrible. We sat at 5pm so there was no excuse, it was before the dinner rush.

Mourad offers an incredible dining experience with its beautifully crafted dishes and elegant ambiance. The flavors are bold, innovative, and truly showcase the chef’s talent. However, be aware that the portions are on the smaller side, something that may not be immediately obvious if you’re not a foodie familiar with fine dining portions. That said, every bite is a work of art, and the attention to detail makes it well worth the visit. If you’re looking for a satisfying meal, consider ordering multiple courses to fully enjoy the experience.

The food was honestly fine. I think they are overextending their servers though. I’ve had this server before without issue so I really don’t think it’s a staff issue unless I had just been lucky before. We ordered a main (for two) and two sides (plus drinks). Discussed gluten allergy (not preference! Trust me I’d rather eat gluten if I could!) at length to figure out what my safest options are that were easy for the kitchen to deal with (some dishes are totally GF, I left a note at the time of booking, and yes I’m aware that there’s always a possibility of cross contamination) and, by his recommendation, we even ordered one of the sides with the gluten element on the side so my partner could try it. Then the main is served with something that looks breaded but I didn’t think too much of it because I know corn and other non gluten ingredients are getting trendier and because the server pointed the dish out to me as a safe option. Before I ate it, I thought “let me just double check”. So the server comes back and I was like “is this breaded?” And he’s like oh yeah that’s breaded but everything else is fine for you to eat. Kind of insane to plate the allergen IN the dish when it’s basically a garnish. I just kind of blinked and didn’t say anything else because it was my partners birthday. No service recovery or anything like that (I was not expecting anything beyond being asked if I was still able to eat it so we could correct it. even a “sorry my bad” would have sufficed? Am I crazy? Its an $80+ dish I probably should have felt more comfortable eating it)I tried to eat around it but focused on the sides. Oh well. We originally didn’t have starters to save room for dessert but didn’t really want to risk it so we left. Not sure I’d be back for a handful of reasons but the vibes were just off, especially for a Saturday night. I hope the restaurant better considers the bandwidth of their staff (FOH&BOH) so that service is a little smoother for all.

Restaurant wasn’t busy but our order must have gotten lost as we waited one hour and 10 minutes between our appetizers and main course. Only had someone check on us once between that time. Have been several times on business and have always loved. Very disappointing. Food was average.

Amazing Service. The cheff astonishing, it is a fusion of marroqui cousine with modern techniques. Equilibrated smooth flavors. Great, great place.

We love Mourad. The ambiance is beautiful and the food is delicious. We've always had great wait staff as well.
