Really enjoyed our meal at the mount burgess Dining Room. Food was excellent. Just what was required for a special occasion.

Food was OK, but service was too slow. We waited almost two hours for our entrees, and the tables around us were all waiting around the same also. Price rather high for the value too, imo.

Most gorgeous setting and the cuisine was fancy and delicious, they obviously have a fine chef there.

Once we got served the experience was amazing. The food was outstanding. Credit to the chef.

We were expecting much more than was delivered. Our waiter was very slow in taking care of us. My husband ordered the tenderloin medium rare, it came overcooked. Our waiter did return it to the kitchen where a new meal was prepared. It was medium rare, but for tenderloin it wasn’t tender as would be expected. We are finding as we travel through Canada that Alberta beef simply isn’t as tender as US Prime beef. I think our waiter got frustrated with us after my husband complained it wasn’t tender. He seemed to ignore us. Never offered us dessert and we had to flag him down to get our bill.

Bad service. Waited 50 minutes for our food. Bred came after 30 minutes. We ordered an extra glass of wine and I were halfway through my food before it came.

A lovely meal, it was the best food we had on our month long tour of Canada/Alaska. My scallops were as big as any I’d had and cooked perfectly, I had fish with curried lentils which we also perfect, if expected it to be a bit more like a curried stew which I wasn’t particularly in the mood for but didn’t see anything I liked more on the menu, but it was a delicate coconut curry broth. It heavy with lentils and was balanced extremely well. And finished with cheesecake which was fairly standard, but actually just was I fancied to give some sweetness after the lovely meal. We were staying at the lodge but there were several functions happening which pretty much blocked out the restaurant so we could only eat at 5.30pm which was much earlier than we wanted given we only had one night stay and our room was late being ready so we had no time to explore before dinner so that was the only negative. I think hotel restaurants should give more priority to their guests.

Maybe because we ate later in the evening the charcuterie board seemed very tired and was much less appealing than when we last ate here a few years ago when it was a highlight.
