I’ve been to Motus many times. They are in between their season ready to change over to a new fall menu so a few things were not on the menu yet . It was Louder than I’ve ever heard it due to a Birthday party .

Always excellent but the chef has outdone himself with some new menu items. Scallop & burrito appetizer, red snapper & crispy polenta with mushrooms and sugar snap peas, and finally, the chicken two ways (crispy rolled pan roasted Murray’s Farm airline breast, wild mushroom duxelle & house ricotta stuffed breast, apricot mostarda, sweet pea risotto, grilled summer squash)—incredible. The mustardo was one of the best sauces we’ve ever tasted in our dining history. Period. We didn’t even get to try the entree specials. Going back soon to try the cauliflower entree and so many other delicious vegetable based items.

Food was pretty good overall. They had some nice touches that the old Tailor and Cook use to have.

Was very impressed by this restaurant. This was truly fine dining. The taste, presentation, and service were all top notch. Very surprised to be able to find such a first class restaurant in downtown Utica.

We don't often dine in Utica but motus is a definite draw for us. I can't wait to return to try the burger because it looks amazing and I'm positive it tastes even better! The bar is a fantastic place to sit and chat, and the tables are lovely as well - you really can't go wrong with either choice. Dietary needs are handle with ease and grace, and everyone who works there is a real gem.

This was our first visit from the moment we walked in the service was exceptional! The bread was so fresh and warm, our appetizer was amazing the scallops and mushrooms in a rich sauce! Our main courses of duck and mahi mahi were cooked to perfection we took dessert home because we were to full to eat another bite everything was awesome cannot wait to go back!

Food was great, 4 star not 5 because 5 is reserved in my book for a Michelin star meal, and Motus is excellent, but not quite that. Make no mistake, the food was delicious, especially the coquilles saint-jacques, and our server Joshua struck that ideal balance in a waiter between attentive and hovering: There the moment you needed him, but never when you didn’t. Ambience great. Noise level easily conducive to conversation. Great place.

Food and service were excellent! People in our group really enjoyed the burgers, the tri tip special and the mahi mahi. We will return!

Our server was extremely kind. The duck was good. Cherry sauce with the duck amazing. The steak was so under done it was purple and so tough I could barley cut through it let alone chew it. I had two bites. I felt to bed to speak up because the server was so friendly and busy bartending. Not worth the $154 for two people. My husband loved their new galette appetizer.
