Motek was excellent. The food was very interesting and delicious. The Moroccan cigars and the Moroccan fish were great. The lamb chops were spectacular, but a little pricey. Our server did a great job. He was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

Great overall. Good food, lots of options in a pleasant (a bit warm) environment. Attentive and enthusiastic waitress.

The food was good, but the service was not. We waited in line to check in at the hostess stand. There were a lot of people crowded there as it was raining so everyone was trying to get under the covered area. After finally reaching the front of the line, the hostess doesn’t even greet us and just says “We’re full”. We told her we had a reservation and she repeated again “we’re full”. Didn’t say anything other than that or try to offer a solution. My boyfriend asked her what she wanted us to do about that and that we had a reservation. So finally she asked the name and then another hostess seated us. Not a great initial experience or warm welcome. After being seated, we waited a bit for a server to come by. We were hoping for our experience go get better once seated, but unfortunately we were eventually greeted by a rather unfriendly server. He seemed rush and wasn’t attentive in the slightest. He just walked away while we were in the middle of ordering at one point. We started by ordering drinks and we didn’t get our drinks until after all the food had came. All of the appetizers we offered also came after our main courses arrived. We asked for the check at the end and we paid it and the server just walked away without saying anything. Didn’t say thank you, tell us to have a good evening or even ask if we needed a box for the half eaten meal we clearly could’ve used a box for.

Motek has changed since it opened. Too many new managers all so different than when it first opened. Not saying it’s a bad thing, just that it’s concerning yet no major changes visible other than less staff. Food is consistently good, Jose, Rackson, provide always steady good table service. Bar staff those remaining, are very attentive and knowledgeable. Too many to mention my name. I hope that it reaches a level of steadiness which is of concern for us all that frequently visit and are local from Coral Gables.

Everything we ordered was delicious. Table for 3 on a friday night. The ambiance was good, can get loud at times. We ordered several appetizers and shared so everyone could try different things and it was more than enough. Drinks were all amazing too. It was hot & raining outside so we sat inside. It was a little hot inside but i think it was just due to so many people inside as it cooled down as the night progressed. Highly recommend reservations. Will definitely be back.

The reason for the 3 stars is because they rushed the food out and it was not a pleasant experience. We ordered several appetizers to share and we were not half way through them when they started bringing the main entrees. Instead of offering to take them back to the kitchen or keep them warm, they crammed them into the small table. That said, the food was good as always and the service was also good.

This is the first time I had dinner at Motek. With its amazing reviews, I expected a very different experience. The falafel was amazing and my sangria was also good. The rest of my food was just ok. The service left a lot to be desired. Side dish came out before entre and after finishing our dinner, we sat and waited 35 minutes for the check. I am not sure what happened tonight or why it happened, but this is not what I expected at a fairly expensive restaurant.
