Mot Hai Ba has been an East Dallas staple since 2013, offering a seasonal menu inspired by locally sourced farms and ingredients, as well as influences from France, Asia & Italy.
Our original location in Lakewood offers a cozy, intimate dining room, and a lovely enclosed patio for your enjoyment.

Due to our limited seating capacity we ask that guests adhere to the following reservation timeframes:
parties of 1 to 2 guests - 1 hour 45 minutes .
2 to 4 guests - 2 hours .
5 guests and up - 2.5 hours .

Parties of 5 and larger must call the restaurant to reserve, as a credit card hold will be required.

Every bite was outstanding! All items coursed out to perfection. Carrots & mole appetizer was my absolute favorite bite of the evening, favorite cocktail was the Tight Quarters. Always ask Maya for any food or drink recommendations.

There’s just no way to describe how explosive the flavor profile was in every bite of every dish we had. It was wave after wave of flavor crashing into my palette for three hours. And not spicy- just deep, expansive flavor profiles that hit every spot on my tongue. The Kimchi fritters and Kimchi dumplings were the stars, IMHO.

New favorite restaurant. Been 3 times in the last 2 months. Wish we didn't wait so long to go. Everything is outstanding. First time sitting on the patio, a little noisy and looking at the gas station doesn't make for the best ambiance. Sit inside if you can. Won't stop us from going back.

A true gem of a restuarant! Wife and I finally made a rez and glad we did. Sat at bar and had wonderful service. The food was wonderful and had not experienced similar in Dallas. I had the duck hearts as appetizer and coppa (pork neck) as main. My wife had the Jasmin beets and main was potato crusted halibut (had similar but not as good at other restuarants). We will be back!

Always a fantastic experience here. Everything from cocktails to appetizers, entrees and dessert were made to perfection. The standout for me this time was Swiss chard appetizer, carrots made with mulee and foie gras and kimchi dumplings. The tiramisu dessert with blood orange was a perfect end to the meal. Service was attentive and personable. Definitely one of the top three restaurants in Dallas in food quality and creativity.

This restaurant is always a no-brainer. The food is always interesting and different. I enjoy being on the patio as the weather permits! Ending with the chocolate cake is perfect.

As I walked in and checked in I was so happy to hear “welcome back”, this was a really nice gesture that made me feel welcome. The food is incredible here, I loved the beet salad, the short rib and the halibut. A must try! Super cute space but intimate.
