Mot Hai Ba has been an East Dallas staple since 2013, offering a seasonal menu inspired by locally sourced farms and ingredients, as well as influences from France, Asia & Italy.
Our original location in Lakewood offers a cozy, intimate dining room, and a lovely enclosed patio for your enjoyment.

Due to our limited seating capacity we ask that guests adhere to the following reservation timeframes:
parties of 1 to 2 guests - 1 hour 45 minutes .
2 to 4 guests - 2 hours .
5 guests and up - 2.5 hours .

Parties of 5 and larger must call the restaurant to reserve, as a credit card hold will be required.

This is one of my FAVORITE neighborhood restaurant. The food is consistent and it’s always delicious. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is quaint and charming. The chef is absolutely amazing such a talented man. If you have never been, please do yourself a favor and go. Book a reservation make it happen. You won’t regret it.

Hot Mai Ba is one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas. The food is consistently good and often great. The menu is creative and the service is always great. I loved sitting on the patio as it was cooler last evening. I tried a new dish on the menu (for me) which was the Texas red fish. I didn't like it nearly as much as I do the branzino which is usually what I order. It was great to have the squash blossoms back on the menu. All-in-all, it was another wonderful dining experience.

My favorite restaurant in Dallas! Incredible food, amazing service. We try something new every time we go and are never disappointed. Only request would be to turn down the AC a bit. Little cold inside for September.

First time in. Warmly welcomed and quickly sat. Complimentary jasmine tea a lovely touch. Great service from the great food explanations to even replacing wet napkins from water condensation. The food was superb, well-plated and well-portioned. What a wonderful escape this experience was.

The building and surrounding area gave me pause initially. But once I entered, was greeted cheerfully from the staff with an extensive and unique menu with a good cocktail and wine list. Interior was nice, but overall a good value for the quality of food.
