Mot Hai Ba has been an East Dallas staple since 2013, offering a seasonal menu inspired by locally sourced farms and ingredients, as well as influences from France, Asia & Italy.
Our original location in Lakewood offers a cozy, intimate dining room, and a lovely enclosed patio for your enjoyment.

Due to our limited seating capacity we ask that guests adhere to the following reservation timeframes:
parties of 1 to 2 guests - 1 hour 45 minutes .
2 to 4 guests - 2 hours .
5 guests and up - 2.5 hours .

Parties of 5 and larger must call the restaurant to reserve, as a credit card hold will be required.

The food is OUTSTANDING. Cannot get past the branzino with a side of garlic noodles. This would be my last meal request, it’s so good. Also the rice cakes are bomb! Service is wonderful and the place is so intimate and cute, it makes me feel like I’m dining in a tiny, charming restaurant in NYC. Can’t wait to go back

We sat here as often as possible. Hard to get a table. Always get the ravioli, crab grapefruit salad, and short rib. Sad they took sea bass off menu but the man next to me at bar had branzino and said it was the best he’s ever had. Garlic noodles a must. If you have a bigger party, bao bun sandwiches are a great 4 way split. And drinks (including cocktails) fantastic, wine selection small but well-curated. Really happy this place exists in our lives.

We had a great time celebrating Valentine’s Day here, everything exceeded our expectations. We really enjoyed how intimate it was.

We’d heard from a few friends how great MHB is, finally tried it last night. We were blown away by the food and drinks! The rice cake appetizer was savory and interesting with the contrast from the lettuce. Octopus app had some of the most tender octopus we’ve experienced, the prep also gave it a wonderful flavor. For entrees we had the short rib- super tasty, tender, and the potato crusted halibut. The lemongrass sauce with the halibut was so good we were contemplating licking the serving dish! My wife proclaimed her lemon drop the best she’d ever had except for when she makes them herself, and my martini with Roku Gin was great. We’ll be back!

The food was absolutely amazing! Unique dishes that will make your tastebuds explode in joy. Every dish that we received was perfect, the flavors of each were beyond expectations. It was my wife and I’s first time and definitely not our last. The service was exceptional, while we had a dedicated server for our table every server there was attentive and helpful at any point they thought we needed something. Highly recommend for a nice date night. Chefs kiss.

Chef Peja was there and stopped by to see how we enjoyed his restaurant. Service was very good. The food was excellent. We enjoyed everything. *Try the new carrot dish with mole. I did notice the music set a great vibe. MHB is a perfect neighborhood spot for Lakewood. Looking forward to our next visit..

Went here with a group and tried several dishes family style. Everything was amazing. There was a carrot and mole dish that all took us by surprise and is a must order!
