   An unexpected gem. We were traveling north on I-5 for a 3-day trip and chose to spend one night in Redding. We researched restaurants and chose Mosaic. We're glad we did. Menu, food, service, wine list were all just what we were looking for.

   Our service was excellent. Although our food delivery to the table may have been slower, our dinner was social in nature so the timing worked great. The food quality and presentation was good, although we had some components that fell short. A lower sodium option suggestion didn’t work out (salmon), same with the dessert (whiskey cake) - both very salty. A side order of fries was unappetizing (limp).

   Three of us had planned a Friday evening dinner and decided to visit Mosaic Restaurant. Our waiter was excellent and extremely attentive. The restaurant was busy, but we were served in a very timely manner. The presentation and plating was fabulous and all 3 of our meals were wonderful. We will definitely be back and I would highly recommend Mosaic!!

   The service was very slow. The food and wine were good but rather overpriced. The restaurant was convenient since we were staying at the hotel, but we will probably choose somewhere else to eat next time we’re in Redding.

   Not as good as I remembered. Service was off, needing reminders, food was ok.

   Tonight my family of three (2 seniors and 1 adult) enjoyed a lovely dinner - a burger, salmon, and French onion soup - all delicious. Our service was excellent, and the ambience was nice. We’ve dined here before and will dine here again whenever we are in Redding. We’ll be back!

   Staff seemed short handed tonight which resulted in slower service. Fries ordered as an appetizer for the kids ended up coming after dessert and no offer of taking it off the bill. Ordered coffee with dessert and never received it. Food was good; however the pizzas were cooked a bit too much and the crust were burnt and the chases pizza on top was way overdone. We will give them the benefit of the doubt doubt as we frequent Mosaic and just chalking up to a bad night.

   We stop at the restaurant twice yearly on our trips up/down the coast. We have always enjoyed the menu options and consistent quality of the food. In the last few years tho, we have noticed a significant drop off in service. Last night we arrived at our reservation time of 5:00 pm. We were seated immediately and found that we were the only diners in the restaurant. There was a table near us that had clearly finished dining, with 2 people still sitting at the table chatting. Our server apparently knew the people and spent about 15 minutes chatting with them while we sat and waited to be served. The server finally came over and said someone else was supposed to be our server, but that she would help us out. I don’t think that was the case, as more customers arrived and she was their server as well. During our meal our water glasses were not refilled nor were we offered a 2nd glass of wine….again, there were 6 other diners in the entire restaurant. Bottom line, it took an hour for a burger and soup in a nearly empty restaurant. Food was good, but for $100 I think it might be time to find a new spot.

    We were a table of 10, down from 12. Ariel was our server and she was excellent. The food was really good as well. We are from the SF Bay Area so we know good food. This is our 10th time dining there over the last 8 years.
