Le Morton's The Steakhouse est l'un des premiers «steakhouse» classique spécialisé dans les steaks de boeuf vieilli de catégorie «USDA prime», de poissons frais, de produits de la mer et de poulet. Le menu propose une grande variété de coupes dépendamment comment vous les aimez. La spécialité de la maison est le «Porterhouse-steak» de 24 once. Had a late dinner last night at 8pm, it was me my daughter my partner and 2 friends. We sat indoor and the aesthetic was nice looking. Food wise my steak sucked.(bone in ripeye) it was extremely smooth to eat but the flavors were not there!!i have had better steak from Costco tbh. My girls steak was actually pretty good she had the Cajun ripeye! My daughter’s Mac and cheese was FIRE. Truffle fries as well. The meatball appetizer was stale and cold when given to us!do not get regretted instantly!! My biggest complain is gonna have to be our waiter!this lady last night said something that really was inappropriate and tried to make me look dumb.(idk if it was intentional) but it was so out of line in my opinion. For the sake of not ranting I’ll let the manager know & not write it out here. Btw parking is not easy to get here!I parked 2 blocks away on 3rd and San Carlos and because that was lucky!

You know what you'll get at Morton's. High quality steaks, Steak House feel and consistent, good service. All that said, Morton's isn't your place for the truly eclectic steaks ; While the menu has a good selection of Prime meat, none of it is dry aged (and the sole dry aged Strip cut is not 'prime'). There is no (Japanese) Wagyu selection. But, Morton's is fun, the sides and appetizers are what you expect, and often that exactly what you want.

Really kind of disappointing for a “high end” steakhouse. Bar service was slow, crab cakes were mediocre, the waiter didn’t seem very eager to assist us in transitioning over to our reservation in the dining room, the food server didn’t know what “compound butter” was, and the food was served rapid-fire, way too fast for fine dining. The Il fornaio nearby was also a let-down … I’m wondering if all of downtown San Jose dining is on a downturn ?

As always, here, the food was fine.. To be fair, I have to say that the New York Strip I ordered here was cooked as requested but the meat was less satisfying than the order of a New York Strip which I ate the night before, at their competitor (The Grill on the Alley) across the square. What was not acceptable was the slowness of getting our order delivered, so that what would normally (with "good" service) take 1-1 1/2 hours actually took over two hours and we actually had to leave with our dessert boxed up just before we said we had to go. Also, the restaurant was uncomfortably "cold" -- forcing my adult daughter to have to take off her sweater-jacket and give it to my 11 year old granddaughter to keep her warm while we were all waiting and eating there. Under the circumstances, the next time (which is frequent) that we come downtown for a steak dinner it will be at The Grill on the Alley rather than at Morton's.

Dinner was great tonight and we actually managed not to over order. We split a chopped salad which was very good as a starter light and some vegetables. We both had surf and turf which seems like it's the value here. We didn't order any sides and save room for cappuccino and the lava cake Sunday which was a very nice finish although we both did take part of our fillets home so that we could have room for that dessert which you definitely don't want to skip.

Great service and food. Disappointed when hostess sat us near door when very few people were in the restaurant.

Lobster special not quite as advertised but good. Included lobster ONLY. Service was slow as I think only 2 chefsa in kitchen.. Waited 1/2 hr for waiter to bring food. Also, was not given bib for lobsters and ended up with spots on shirts.
