We use to go here for every special occasion. Yesterday was the first time since covid. The hot delicious bread was served room temperature. The waiter said he couldn't sing happy birthday because it was copywrited???? You no longer get a framed picture with everyone's signature.

Service was great, very friendly. The food however was hit and miss. We did not eat our oysters; they were green and smelled like a fish tank that hadn't been cleaned in a month. Steak was ordered medium rare and was closer to medium well. The sides were all good, drinks were good, service was good.

Food was expectedly great but we had trouble asking the restaurant to keep a shade down despite asking politely not to raise it. One of our members had an eye disorder and even though we asked the same person twice to not raise the shade, she did twice. I got up and started to lower it myself and was sharply told not to touch the cord because it was broken(?). Four minutes later the shade was raised for the third time. There were plenty of empty tables the could have offered us. The disregard dampened our enjoyment of the dinner and due to feeling minimalized, we will never return.

The best steaks we have had in a long time. Excellent drinks and the Szechuan green beans were different and very good. Overall excellent meal.
