Moro restaurant in London’s Exmouth Market may retain its reputation as one of the hippest restaurants in one of the hippest parts of the capital, but this Clerkenwell restaurant still focuses more on good food than its own image. Moro’s décor with its polished wooden floors, long zinc bar, open view to the kitchen and its charcoal grill and wood-burning oven, is functional and welcoming. Cuisine of the southern Mediterranean, from the Iberian Peninsula into Northern Africa, is the menu’s exclusive province.

The food is fab, the waiting staff are terrific - but it's very noisy - there are no soft furnishings. So as the noise level increases people have to shout to their dinner companions, which raises the noise, so they have to shout louder....to the point that it became impossible for our table to have a dinnertime conversation. And there are no two ways about it - it's an expensive night out - and at this price point worth paying some attention to the sound levels.

Moro is a fantastic restaurant. We’ve had lunch here a number of times. The combination of Spanish and Moroccan (with a couple of other influences along the way) always creates an interesting menu. The kitchen team produce quality food. FoH are knowledgeable and helpful. The wine list has variety and the menus always suggest wine options. Being Spanish it also has a full range of interesting sherries. Highly recommended.

Sitting on the terrace, a summer evening, good food, good wine, you could close your eyes and imagine that the horror of BREXIT never happened.

The food was delicious, I had the charcoal grilled lamb. Great spot and lovely staff. Highly recommend.

Excellent dinner after watching a show. Great service as always. I had the sea bass and just delicious. Had a Greek wine to accompany it and very refreshing. Will always frequent.

The waitress was surly and borderline rude. The starters were good but two out of the mains were bad. No taste, disappointing, bland. I ate at Moro’s four weeks ago and had a delicious meal. Yesterday was very disappointing and we will probably not go again. Michele
