Moro restaurant in London’s Exmouth Market may retain its reputation as one of the hippest restaurants in one of the hippest parts of the capital, but this Clerkenwell restaurant still focuses more on good food than its own image. Moro’s décor with its polished wooden floors, long zinc bar, open view to the kitchen and its charcoal grill and wood-burning oven, is functional and welcoming. Cuisine of the southern Mediterranean, from the Iberian Peninsula into Northern Africa, is the menu’s exclusive province.

Food as ever very good. My only criticism was that having finished our starters we were not asked if we were ready for our mains resulting in them being brought immediately after the plates were cleared. We could not finish our mains because of this. This should not happen in a restaurant of this standing and prices. It was not vale for money

Helpful accommodating our preference for round table . Interesting menu . Some disappointment over main courses eg too much pork and lack of tasty vegetables . Very tiny piece of monkfish . Fig ice cream expensive for one scoop !

We always take the tapas menu at the counter, before going to Saddlers Wells. Always excellent quality.

A quick post-Sadlers Wells dinner for me and my daughter. Just perfect - stunning food, good selection of wine by the glass, and really really lovely service. It's perfectly placed for Sadlers Wells as well.
