Moro and Morito chef proprietors, Sam & Sam Clark, opened their third restaurant, located at 195 Hackney Road in 2016.

Morito Hackney Road's Head Chef, Sevan Tchivitdji, draws influences from Southern Spain, North Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean.

Morito has a concise offering of wines from the Mediterranean - primarily mainland Spain and Portugal - with a couple of lesser-known wines from the Canary Islands. There is a selection of sparkling, white, red, pink, and orange wines, with many available by the glass. For those looking to venture past these, there is also a list of Sherry and Vermouth.

Went here for a birthday meal and loved it. We tried the upgrade set menu and particularly loved the aubergine with whipped feta and the apricot labneh. For cocktails, try the Aegean Spritz for something a bit different. All in all I'd highly recommend this restaurant!

Been here many times & never disappointed. But this time was poor. Drinks really slow, all the food arrived almost at once except for the obvious cold starter/ tapas which came 15 mins later! Couple of tapas were lukewarm and the both the bravas and aubergine were very poor. Service really not up to the location. All in all disappointed. Certainly won’t visit on a monday again and will wait a long time before trying again. Shame!

Servers clearly wanted to get our booking out as soon as possible. All food was all delivered very quickly ant the same time and the team then tried to clear up very fast. If the restaurant does not want a table at that time it would be easier to not take the booking rather than rush the customers. Staff were all quite blunt and not accommodating also. We changed our drinks order while the waiter was taking our order and it seemed to be received badly. Quite a poor experience considering the money you pay. Would rather have gone somewhere else for a special occasion. Wouldn’t recommend.

I've eaten at Morito on 3 occasions now. The food and vibes are very good, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I think some of the portion sizes are quite small though and you do need to order quite a few plates. My main criticism from my last visit was that towards the end of the meal the staff were quite slow in serving us. I had to twice ask for the drinks that we had ordered, which was quite disappointing.

Very tasty food and drinks. Slightly pricey on the meat & fish dishes that I don't think match the portion size. Really lovely staff. Slightly warm sitting inside on a summer day but very nice ambiance.
