Moro and Morito chef proprietors, Sam & Sam Clark, opened their third restaurant, located at 195 Hackney Road in 2016.

Morito Hackney Road's Head Chef, Sevan Tchivitdji, draws influences from Southern Spain, North Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean.

Morito has a concise offering of wines from the Mediterranean - primarily mainland Spain and Portugal - with a couple of lesser-known wines from the Canary Islands. There is a selection of sparkling, white, red, pink, and orange wines, with many available by the glass. For those looking to venture past these, there is also a list of Sherry and Vermouth.

A gem of a Tapas restaurant. Stylish and minimal decor, plenty of space between. Tables. A great menu and delicious dishes. Staff friendly, and able to help with any dish suggestions. Service is very prompt, but you don’t feel rushed. The food is super tasty. This is a popular place so do book in advance. Enjoy.

We really enjoyed our experience from start to finish, the food was amazing and came out at different stages which was nice to take in each plate. Our server recommend a lovely red, orange and white wine which we enjoyed. The servers were so attentive and will definitely be back.

This is my favourite restaurant. All the food is fantastic. The vibe is good and the staff are lovely and attentive.

The food was delicious and arrived promptly. The interior and atmosphere were pleasant. While the host greeted us warmly, we noticed stressed staff members after being seated, and our waiter barely acknowledged us. This made us slightly uncomfortable, and the experience could have been much better if the staff had been more relaxed. The drinks menu we received looked like it had a printing issue: the page was streaked with grey ink so it was almost impossible to read the menu options. Another minor issue was the waiters' messy manner of clearing plates and scraping food at our table. Though not a major problem, it felt incongruous with the £120 per person price tag. The mismatch between price and service quality left us feeling we received poor value overall.

Many of the dishes on the menu are really stand out and well worth the visit. It’s best to eat here in a small crowd because the dishes are a very varied in size and that way you’ll never go short. The wine list is a bit hit and miss – a characterless Albarinho but a very good white Rioja . Six of us were able to eat over a long evening, even though we had a table from 18.30. Neither the staff nor the kitchen were in any hurry to kick us out. It was all together a really lovely evening. With a reasonable amount of alcohol it came out just under £70 a head all in, which for London is just what you pay nowadays. We will definitely go back

Great food and drink at reasonable prices, accompanied by great service. Only downside is the harsh overhead lighting needs to be sorted out especially around the counter—goes against the vibe.
