What a lovely little place! Where else in Portland can you find venison tartar? Nice wine list, terrific and unusual food, and a friendly wait staff. Highly recommend Morchella.

Without question Cameron is the most creative chef in Portland. This is the best restaurant in Portland. Each dish is so exquisite. Presentation is gorgeous . Taste is magnificent and the use of local ingredients and foraged foods makes the flavor of everything amazing. The small place allows for personal service. The wines and beers are complementary to the food. The jazz playing in the background is not too loud, but keeps conversations personal in the limited space with wonderfully decorated walls. Marcella is simply superb.

Oysters and wine were great, the rest of the food was fine but a little bland and not exciting. Service was not great but 22% gratuity was included which is frustrating when there was no water refills. We probably would have had more wine but we didn’t get attention for too long, we were ready to just go.

The portion sizes and quality was superb. The staff was very friendly and enjoyable to be around which is very nice to see in Portland. We enjoyed the fresh albacore tuna dish, carrot hush puppies, and lobster mushroom dish. Very quant and the food presentation speaks for itself. Highly recommend.

We always have a gorgeous, unique dining experience at Morchella. The team is professional and friendly, and the food always surprises and delights.

The focaccia bread and bison short ribs were outstanding! I truly love the concept of this restaurant and hope they do well. We however will likely not return based on their tipping policy. Our waitress, who was very friendly, brought us a bottle of wine, a plate of bread and 2 entrees and made a $33 tip off of the 2 of us. There is an automatic 22% tip that felt higher than necessary. We always try to compensate our servers well but somehow this felt forced.

They have an appetizer lineup that rivals any place in the city. The local ingredients and good qualify made the dining experience great.

Nice small restaurant with great food. It’s too bad more people don’t know about this place. Only thing missing was cocktails, but the food was excellent
