The food was just ok. Better steak to be had elsewhere. Service was lacking from the hostess and from the waiter. Very loud inside; uninspired decor. We will not return.

We had a fantastic waiter. I think his name is Nelson. Had a reasonably priced 2016 Bordeaux. The wedge salad was different from any other wedge we’ve had and it was great. Trie American Wagyu for the first time and really enjoyed it.

This restaurant review could have been perfect: nice decor, wonderful and professional waiter Jeff, great food. But and there is a but: why restaurants in America keep employing as hostesses young and inexperienced employees??? We had made a reservation 4 weeks in advance and when we arrived, we were rudely asked to wait for 10 minutes on the side by a young hostess despite the fact that half the restaurant was empty. After ten minutes they finally brought us to the worst table in the restaurant again despite the fact that many tables of 2 were empty. When I asked if we could be seated in another table, of course I received the usual answer of: those are reserved. “Really someone called and specifically asked for this table in the back near the water bottles???”. Understanding that I am from France and probably arrogant and snob, they finally moved us with a sour face. Can’t top restaurants in the US have top hosts and hostesses as well? Ones that understand that when someone walks into a $500-$600 meal he wants to get a good table? In Europe this would never happen.

We had a fantastic experience at Mooo Beacon Hill to celebrate our anniversary last night. When I made the reservation, I checked off that we were visiting for our anniversary. What a lovely surprise to be seated and be handed menus that said "Happy Anniversary!" at the top! A small touch, but so thoughtful! Our server, Jeffrey, was so friendly and very knowledgeable about wine, in particular. We skipped appetizers and just ordered entrees, though we enjoyed the most delicious and adorable loaf of bread to snack on while we browsed the menu. My husband opted for a grass fed New York strip steak with truffle parmesan fries, and I got a filet mignon with the grilled broccolini. Note that the sides are served family style so you will get a generous portion of each to share together/for your table. Our steaks were melt in your mouth incredible! We were both perfectly satisfied with our meals so we didn't bother with dessert, though Jeffrey brought us two bite sized s'mores (chocolate dipped marshmallow on a small graham crust) that was the perfect touch of sweetness to end our meal with. We had a lovely time and will absolutely return the next time we are in Boston!

I brought a friend here for his birthday. The service was outstanding. The food was great. The price was high which I knew prior to arrival. I have had equally good meals at other establishments for a much lower cost. It was a very good experience but didn’t quite match the price tag.

We loved all our menu items. The lobster bisque is exceptional. Filet was cooked perfectly. Carrots were excellent. Strawberry tart amazing. Our waiter was outstanding. He was just the right amount of checking in but not over doing it. The old and cranky is great bourbon drink well balanced and I usually don’t so drinks with simple syrup. We will be back
