Roll-Your-Own Sushi Making Class at Moonraker

Meet us at our rooftop hideaway for an intimate sushi making class led by Moonraker’s very own, Chef Marcia Lozada. Guests will be welcomed with sake to start, then will be guided through the step-by-step process of making a Tuna Roll, Veggie Roll and Gyoza. The class will conclude on a sweet note with instruction on how to put the finishing touches on Moonraker’s famed Matcha Profiteroles. 21+ event. You pay for the view. Drinks and food are astronomically priced for the quality. $25+ cocktails, $20+ small bites.

My girlfriend and I have visited Moonraker about 5 times since July 2023. It easily became one of our favorite date night spots in the city because of the phenomenal views, service, and delectable bites and drinks. Unfortunately, our last visit to Moonraker was a complete disappointment. It took nearly 30 minutes for us to get our first round of drinks, the food eventually came 45 minutes after ordering and it arrived completely cold and without a side dish we ordered. Costs are no issue for us, we've seen the prices increase over time but that hasn't led us astray. Over the last two visits, it seems the quality has gone down while the price has increased. Every fish dish has decreased in quality and quantity. Ontop on the delayed food and beverage time, without great service, I'm unsure if the view is worth it at this pricepoint.

Food was very good. A bit of confusion on whehter it was only lunch or brunch. Views are spectacular. Only complaint is that for such a small room, the music was way too loud to the point it became irritating

Disappointed. Very hot room. Not a very big menu and very limited wine selection by the glass. Many other good choices near by to go here.

The outside seating was great. We had cocktails and bites while watching the sunset over the Potomac. A great way to celebrate my birthday!

Actually stayed at the hotel and made the reservations weeks ago. However, were sat in a corner and told we would be given a better table if one became available. It appeared that they overbooked and were not prepared to accommodate us. $170 later on food and drinks it would’ve been nice to actually be seated near the riverside and accommodated better. Our waiter was nice but we were often forgotten about in our little corner.

A server seemed to disappear majority of our time there and we eventually ended up working with a different server towards the end. Our food and drinks were delayed. Overall it was okay, just wish we had a better experience for the amount of money being spent.
