A swanky sexy environment with authentic Thai and Japanese recipes located in Southpark cooked by our Thai and Japanese chefs. One of the best Pad Thai's you'll ever have. We offer a full service sushi bar and spirit bar serving specialty cocktails that are out of this world. Moon Thai & Japanese was established on August 3rd, 2000, in Coral Gables, FL by lifetime chef and restaurant owner Jack Punma. The menus at Moon Thai and Japanese are carefully prepared with only the highest quality ingredients. Customer service and satisfaction is our top priority so please visit any of our locations and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. Moon Thai Charlotte is located in the Apex building in Southpark off of Sharon Rd. The restaurant has changed hands. Sadly, the entire experience was nowhere near what it used to be. To be fair, there was a family celebration going on with family members at tables throughout the dining area who allowed a young boy the run of the place. Noisy and multigenerational. The staff did their best under less than great circumstances. What they couldn’t make up for was an odd menu and poor food. We didn’t try any Thai dishes but the sushi was only passable. We won’t go back.

Our waiter was friendly. It took a long time for our salads arrived and when they arrived they arrived with our entrees.We did not like that. Also we order vegetable rolls and they were so small. Over all, it was ok.

I had been wanting to eat here for a while. There is a Thai menu and sushi menu, both have plenty of options. I stayed with the sushi. There were so many traditional options and so many creative new options. All of the 3 items I ordered were delicious. I also had a yummy cocktail- well balanced. Our server, Emma, was attentive and knowledgeable. The entire staff was courteous. I wish I had eaten here sooner.

First time and wont be the last- We did the restaurant week deal and was amazed at the amount they served. Well worth it and they server was great. I would say the food was a tad bit over good . Very enjoyable dinner

Their famous Duck Curry is definitely worth trying. I'm not a duck or curry fan but this was outstanding! Duck was perfectly cooked. The panang curry is different from India curry and delish! I ordered the sautéed green beans as a side and they were excellent. We ordered the spring rolls and spicy shrimp roll as appetizers and they were very good, bit not the best I've ever eaten. The staff was attentive and everyone worked together to ensure a great experience for the diner. My boyfriend got the drunken noodles with shrimp and I have to say the shrimp they used in the noodle dish is some of the best I've tasted. We both ordered the smoky cocktail and Anthony told us it's his concoction and perfectly balanced. It's smoky so don't order if you don't like smoky. We will go back. It's worth the time and money. BUT, trying to find it isn't that easy. You have to pay to park starting Aug 1, and we had to follow signs to find it from the garage. So it's a little difficult to find but worth it!!!
