Moon Rabbit is a highly-regarded Vietnamese restaurant situated in the heart of Washington D.C., drawing inspiration from the virtuous rabbit depicted in the Buddhist Jataka tale. Underwhelming. Almost none of the dishes were spot on and none would trigger a craving to come back for more. The only two dishes that remain in memory: the cabbage (surprising but the smoky flavor was spot on) and shrimps (lemongrass did the trick)

Outstanding! The food…the cocktails…the service. Make a reservation and enjoy the amazing tasting menu at Moon Rabbit- every bite was an mmmm 😋 Knowing I loved everything …my favorite bites were the chicken pate, the tuna, and the lamb… and all of the desserts ❤️❤️❤️

Wonderful and unexpected food. The three deserts we shared were some of the best I've ever experienced. Who knew fish sauce and caramel would be such a treat!

Moon Rabbit is an absolute gem in Washington, D.C. and the United States. Constantly pushing the culinary envelope in their dedicated and creative endeavor to break the bamboo ceiling. Bold choices, unique flavors, and constantly harnessing the range of elements within Vietnamese and Cajun fusion. Whether it is the drinks, the dishes, or the desserts, it is an overall experience in culinary sorcery. Warm hospitality at every step of the experience from the amazing staff throughout the entire house and a real and genuine desire for you to have a fun and playful experience. Across cultures, nationalities, religions, and politics, food serves as a universal bridge between people and cultures despite our many differences. And Moon Rabbit uses food to bring people together and remind us that we share far more than what divides us.

After waiting for some time for this experience on our trip, we found nothing but great quality food. We even got to meet Kevin & We got a few gifts from the chef. My favorite restaurant for the whole trip.

Outstanding food and very attentive service. I had the set menu of Chef’s Visit Vietnam, it was a must. A place to come back and back again. As a Brazilian traveling on vacations was the perfect choice of last day meal in DC.

Kevin Tien is a gifted Chef. Food is Vietnamese inspired not traditional Vietnamese. Highly recommend exploring the menu by ordering the Chef’s Menu to learn what you want to order on your next visit.
