Moon Rabbit is a highly-regarded Vietnamese restaurant situated in the heart of Washington D.C., drawing inspiration from the virtuous rabbit depicted in the Buddhist Jataka tale. Led by acclaimed Chef Kevin Tien, the restaurant embodies an innovative approach to Vietnamese cuisine, showcasing a menu that is both unique and complex.     A long time coming but worth the wait. A simple complexity with unforgettable tasting notes. The staff was incredibly attentive. It’s value is worth the money.

    Our server was excellent- I honestly expected more from the entrees and appetizers, as I used to frequent the old location and have had dinner here. Save for the creative nuoc cham that added to the catfish, not as flavorful as I would expect. We had very disruptive fire alarms in middle of lunch service but our server was gracious

    Loved! Wait staff was awesome, including the busser. Food was top notch. We had the Taste of Vietnam. Everything was great - my handbags fav was the pork chop.

    Absolutely fantastic meal and perfect for my wife’s birthday dinner. Each bite had incredible, complex flavors. This is a gourmand Vietnamese experience and it definitely lived up to the hype.

    I was in DC for a work trip and came to Moon Rabbit by myself after reading about it online. I had high expectations and was not disappointed! I did the chef’s tasting menu and am so glad I did. Highlights were the wagyu stuffed leaf and kanpachi crudo. Service was great and staff was knowledgeable about the dishes. And the best part of the night was the Pho Dac Biet cocktail (beef broth washed martini)… so unique and delicious. Thank you for a great evening!

    The service at Moon Rabbit is superb and the ambiance is great. The cocktails were also very good and the wine list was on point. Unfortunately, the food ranged from just OK to simply bad. The Pan’dan de Sal was too dense, the Crab Rangoon was similar to a bland cream cheese dip, the beef in the stuffed leaf was dry and lacked flavor and we found the sweet potato & crab to be inedible (no taste of sweet potato, the tapioca gnocchi were unpleasant). To be fair, the twice cooked squash and the rice noodle dish were OK.

    Beyond my expectations. The food was wonderful the location was convenient and the service was fast and impeccable. Nicole waited on us and was delightful and accommodating and made great recommendations. Will absolutely return
