As Charlestown’s neighborhood spot, Monument boasts a warm, rustic dining room and bar, a seasonal sidewalk patio, and takeout and delivery options seven days a week.

The rustic yet chic interior complements their menu of the same caliber. Wood-fired pizza, lemon-rosemary chicken wings, kung pao Brussels sprouts, and gnocchi bolognese are just a few of the favorite options. Best first time visit to this restaurant. Gone to brunch with a friend. The food was delicious and plenty of choices to eat and drink. Not too expensive. A nice rustic like atmosphere and not too loud with open kitchen view. Long bar area with super high decorative ceiling. I recommend reservations like I did to confirm a seat quicker. Will be back soon again. Easy to find on main street.

Local neighborhood ‘go to’ for consistently good food, friendly & helpful service at fair price. Enjoy outdoor dining although street view not ideal.

We made a brunch reservation for 9AM on a Saturday, but it really wasn't needed, the restaurant wasn't very busy at all. We were looking for somewhere with good mimosas that was also kid-friendly. Our server was great, she was super friendly and welcoming and made sure we were satisfied throughout the whole visit. We opted to do the $50 mimosa option which came with one bottle of bubbly and three small juice carafes to mix to your own preference - definitely a better value than paying $14-$16 per glass at other places where it's poured for you and is mostly juice. My husband and I shared a pizza which was delicious; we've had a lot of subpar pizza lately so this was a really welcome change. My son ordered a breakfast burrito, and thankfully it was very large to satisfy his teenage appetite. My daughter tried the yogurt parfait and didn't care for it, but she's very picky about her yogurt so I don't even hold this against the restaurant at all. The only complaint I really have is that when we lifted one of the slices of pizza that was served to us on a metal tray, there was a noticeable piece of splintered wood underneath it that could have been a very unwelcome surprise had it been embedded in the crust rather than remaining on the tray. I'm not sure if the kitchen used a wood pizza peel and somehow the wood splintered off of it during transfer or what.

The food was fantastic, as always! The entire staff provided excellent service. The restaurant does tend to be loud, so be prepared for a lively atmosphere.

The restaurant overall was very good, with an excellent ambiance. However, the restaurant didn't match its photos, which made it appear older and more like a traditional tavern. In reality, everything looked new, which is ideal for a younger crowd. I appreciated seeing families with children, middle-aged adults, and young professionals all enjoying themselves. The waitstaff were attentive and diligent for the most part. The food was excellent, but the drinks were disappointing. The bartender on the evening of August 3rd did not make a good gin and tonic. While their cocktails may not be great, they do have a good selection of beer and scotch or rye whiskey-based liquors. Overall, the service was very good.
