Montgomery Scotch Lounge is an intimate restaurant & bar with live music, in the heart of downtown Ottawa featuring a large selection of single malt Scotches, cocktails, and delicious small plates.

We've got Ontario craft beer, unique wine, and Scotch-based cocktails. And, we’re known for our quest to make single malt Scotch approachable to the uninitiated.

You need to update your menu. It’s quite pathetic. Also so gentle reminders for diners to keep their conversation levels down while music is on. I have friends who would come to your music events if MSL was more of a listening room

I found the evening menu extremely pricey. Nevertheless the drinks are incredible and the service IMPECCABLE!! I highly recommend.

The Montgomery Scotch lounge had a wonderful jazz quartet playing two sets on this evening. We reserved for the first set from 7 until 9 and were not disappointed in the least. The music was superb in this very intimate location. The ambiance was wonderful as no one was seated very far from the musicians. The lounge is known for its outstanding selection of Scotch whiskies and would not disappoint a bona fide Scotch drinker. The wine and beer selections were understandably small but adequate as one does not expect a Scotch lounge to have a wide selection. This is not a place that one goes to for the food. The food menu is minimal at best and is more of a canape style. We had a Ploughmans Lunch ( a fancy name for aa small charcuterie board) along with Buggy Whip - a 4 0r 5 thin sausages with a nice mustard . The Ploughman's had a nice selection of meats and cheeses although the quantity was tiny while the sausages were over cooked and dry and hard to chew. When I do go again I will be sure to have eaten beforehand and only to go to enjoy the live music along with a drink.

Great jazz group (Jazzmin-T), wonderful food and wine, terrific ambience, respectful crowd - will definitely come back!

Montgomery Scotch Lounge is a fantastic, excellently decorated space with fantastic live music and absolutely incredible service. The staff were welcoming and warm and very knowledgeable. The night I went was busy, but they stayed on top of things, and really took care of my friend and I. The bartender recommended some wonderful scotch - my friend and I really enjoyed what he suggested. Montgomery's scotch collection is robust, and the detailed menus they have were both helpful and informative.
