Montana's BBQ & BAR is a Canadian comfort food BBQ restaurant and sports bar. Enjoy in-house smoked pork ribs, beef brisket, grilled steaks and juicy burgers which are paired perfectly with catching the game. Montana's Airdie celebrates fun-to-eat, finger-licking smoked and barbecued comfort food that breaks the 'proper' rules. Located near Nose Creek Regional Park & Ron Ebbesen Twin Arena in the Southern core of Airdie, we are a short turn off of highway 2. What a disappointing evening. We booked our table ahead of time. We booked for 6:30pm. Once seated we were informed that there would be no ribs available to order for 1 hour. 4 of our party had come with the anticipation of enjoying ribs. Nonetheless, we decided to stay. We asked if we could order one of the platters and just have extra brisket and another meat in place of the ribs. The server then said they had just run out of the brisket too! Yikes! 6:30pm on a Saturday evening and you’ve run out of 2 of the main items that people likely come for. We actually felt quite bad for the server as we overheard him having to explain the ‘situation’ to many new diners. We had come with high expectations and left disgruntled. Oh well. We understand that food is a tricky area to plan well for, but we feel that running out of these items on a prime evening for people hoping for ribs or brisket is pretty poor planning. The server did their job, but maybe a member of the management team could have been greeting people as they enter explaining the lack of ribs and brisket before you were seated. I’m also glad it wasn’t a meal for a special event.

The service is excellent, presentation was perfect, communication was excellent, server returned a few times to ensure our experience on all accounts was was what we expected.

We were very disappointed that there was no lobster. The main reason for going there on New Years Eve was to have steak and lobster.

I made reservations and drove from three hills to airdrie for supper .. got confirmation and the place was closed at 4. My reservation was for 5:15. NOT IMPRESSED

The manager on shift is the only reason for the 3 stars . As she did right by us Out waiter wasn’t overly attentive , one meal was requested GF as a dietary allergy , when the meal showed up it had gluten on it, when my wife made not of it the waiter with out a comment grabbed the plate and vanished , no apology and no comment on correcting the plate . New steak showed up when I was nearly done my meal and the waiter waited till my wife was in the bathroom before coming to even check on us and was like oh the steaks here cool and left without a word. My wing/ rib combo started off good with hot juicy wings , then the ribs were over cooked and tough/ dry to eat ( while flavour was good ) At the end of the meal when I asked for the bill I paid via a large cash bill , the waiter took the bill and didn’t ask if change was required , instead kept the money thinking they were entitled to a 22% tip. My wife has to talk to the manager who then sent the Employee back to give us change .
