First time at Monocacy Crossing, we were impressed with the menu and wanted to try out everything. Picked the crispy red onion straws, crispy artichokes and garlic butter pretzel knots which were all delicious and serving size was good for 2 adults and a pre-teen. Adults enjoyed a red sangria which was delightful and a beer which was served in a tall glass. There is no printed kids menu but they do have kids items like chicken strips and pasta with butter sauce, my son picked the latter and really enjoyed it. We shared the grilled bacon wrapped filet mignon, medium rare, which came out perfectly crispy on the outside and warm tender red center which is just how we like it. Service and attention were great, did not have to wait much for either drinks or food, and the waitress checked on us often to make sure everything came out to our liking. Although the place is well known, it is still a hidden gem and is now on our list of favorite restaurants in Frederick.

Over food was very good. Table seating is not ideal. Reservation made and was a table in the middle of the room where wait staff walks by to service the room. Asked to be moved and was accommodated. Another guest made a comment “They tried to sit us there too”.

Fabulous, interesting menu with new twists and old favorites. Had delightful birthday celebration, with excellent service, delicious food, and very nice atmosphere. Love this restaurant near Frederick, MD!

Excellent drinks, food and staff. Have never had a bad meal or service in the past 10 years I have eaten at Monocracy Crossing.

My wife and I have been coming here for our special occasions for over 15 years and it has always been the best place to eat a great meal. We love it! Chef Rich has never failed us, he is on the ball! We have never had a bad server. They have always been polite, prompt and professional. We think that the food here is excellent! Our favorite appetizer is the Sautéed Dry Sea Scallops with Shallot and Bacon Vinaigrette. Their cheese platter is also excellent. As far as the dinner menu, it is all great! From surf to turf, they all taste great. They also have great specials. We definitely recommend Monocacy Crossing.

This restaurant is always great! The service is top notch. The food is delicious, inventive, and reasonably priced. The decor is a little dated but charming somehow. Highly recommend!
