Built on the shores of Mono Lake in 1921 and originally used as a bunkhouse, Mono Inn has a long history as one of the best gathering places for miles around.

Chef Jason Custer takes our modern farm-to-table cuisine concept to another level with his Summer Tasting Menu and emphasis on local sourcing.

This is a very special, unique restaurant in a magnificent setting. It’s definitely worth a stop in LeeVining, CA. You’ll never find its equivalent elsewhere.

The team at Mono Inn did it again. What an outstanding meal in a spectacular location! The service was incredible. The presentation, flavor, and food quality were top notch. This is my favorite restaurant anywhere, ever.

The 6-course summer tasting menu was outstanding; service was impeccable, attentive but not intrusive; just an overall excellent experience at the Mono Inn in Lee Vining overlooking Mono Lake!

The 6-7 or was it an 8 course meal continued to surprise throughout the evening. The only comment would be to include extra Japanese cucumbers in the Salmon dish. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The drive back to Mammoth was well worth the fine dinner.

Our dinner stop at the Mono Inn on Highway 395 outside Lee Vining, proved to be a "foodie" find. We had the best meal out since before Covid. It's a price fixed menu, and a wine package is available that nicely complements the meal. Cocktails and a nice wine list are available from a traditional bar. Our 6 course meal took a comfortable two hours - We were not rushed, nor were we impatiently waiting for the next course. Timing was perfect. The well trained staff was attentive, and for some dishes the chef came out to explain what he created. Plating was eye candy. The menu changes weekly and is set by available ingredients. Our meal had an interesting Japanese influence. Open Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, a stop at Mono Inn can work for those of us who drive beautiful Hwy 395 between Reno and LA. The building has been restored by new owners and has lovely views of Mono Lake to enjoy before nightfall. We made same day reservations. Dress was mountain casual. Ambiance was relaxed and dining room was quiet enough for us to enjoy conversation and music. Plan a stop here if you are visiting the Sierra's, it was well worth it.

An incredibly innovative tasting menu and excellent, personal service in a uniquely beautiful location looking out over Mono Lake, make this a dining experience well worth its price.

Always an amazing experience. Chef Jay is extremely talented and the staff and ambiance can not be beat! Beautiful view and unique location!

The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. I took my friend there for her birthday. We were up there, exploring the Hot Springs definitely an evening to remember thank you to everyone that worked there to make our experience exceptional. And thank you to the chef as well
