While atmosphere and excellent service are a great start to an evening, it's the culinary detail that completes your outing to the Cliffs. Our Chef, Jason Reiner, and his team are dedicated to the local food movement and create menus by season and availability of local products. He is proud to serve up only the freshest made from scratch items on the ever-changing chalkboard menu. He relies on local farmers and producers to provide the best local ingredients available by season.

We feature local beers on draught, locally roasted coffee and support local artisans whenever possible.

Fabulous lunch at the inn. We enjoyed our favourites, the grilled calamari and gnocchi special-both were excellent.

This was our first time at Mono Cliffs Inn even though we've been locals for 5 years. We were very impressed. The quaint but beautifully cozy dining room was both rustic and elegant. The food was fantastic (short ribs off main menu and steak fries on special were both delicious). We enjoyed the brownie and cappuccino for dessert. The staff wer3 friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

The food was wonderful, we got there and were seated right by the door. I asked if we could have a different table not right by the door as it was cold. I was told they were full yet there were a group of tables that never got used….they just didn’t want to bother. It also took about 15-20 mins before our server came to see us after we were seated which is a bit much. They were not that busy, I don’t get it.

We had a fabulous evening. The atmosphere was perfect, the food was excellent. Our server and staff were very gracious and very attentive. We have found our new favorite restaurant hidden in Mono Hills. We would highly recommend The Mono Cliffs Inn - 5 stars.

We always love dining at the Mono cliffs inn! It’s a local gem and the warmth of the venue, the staff and the food makes for a wonderful experience every time.

I have been to the Mono Cliffs Inn a number of times over the past 10 or so years. I find that it has been fairly consistent in their service, food, and value. I would say that all three categories I just identified would rate just above average. The food last night was okay, but not outstanding. Presentation was excellent. There were four of us. The mushroom soup was amazing and the caesar salad ok (could have used more bacon). My hamburger and fries were very good. The pickerel and beef short ribs were good according to the people who had them. The fourth person had the macaroni and cheese (a main dish) and said it was awful. It was extremely dry and had zero taste. She had a $10 upgrade of shrimp thinking it would be shrimp spread though the dish, but it simply consisted of two pieces of plain shrimp placed on top (expensive 2 pieces of plain shrimp). The brownie and ice cream were amazing. Service was very good. Friendly staff and very accommodating. However, it would have been good if our server had checked in on us pretty quickly after we received our meals, especially the main meal, to see if we needed anything. She did not. We had to get her attention a few times for minor things, but we were at least half way between our dishes before we could get her attention. The restaurant is small and it was not busy at all (usually very busy in the non-winter months) so she could easily have checked in on us, especially after the main dishes were served. She would rush to a table then disappear so we had a very hard time getting her attention. Overall I would go again, but I would not go out of my way.
