Aloha, we are open daily from 7:00am to 11:00pm and are located on the waterfront of Waikiki Beach inside the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort. We accept reservations & reserve a large amount of space for walk-ins. If your desired reservation is not available, please join our waitlist in person daily. Happy Hour is available daily from 3:30pm-5:00pm (excluding select holidays).

Our chef driven concept is led by the classically trained, award winning chef, Peter Merriman. Peter is a culinary pioneer and one of the founders of Hawaii Regional Cuisine. He has always been inspired by the people and products around him and this spirit has lead the movement to look at food in Hawaii in a new light. Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman embraces this passion! I was happy to hear there’s an additional vegan option that’s not on the menu: Thai tacos. It was delicious, even though it was quite spicy! We only had to wait about 15 minutes for an ocean-side table, and they have a light on so you can see the waves even at night! While our hosts were a bit short with us, our waitress was wonderfully nice! Great experience overall. I recommend the taro ravioli!

The food was not great. Just kind of thrown together with no inspiration. The kids Mac n cheese was dry and tried to be fancy and kids don’t want that. It was all just fine

Simply outstanding. Grace was our server and did a great job! Sunset view was beautiful. Food was bursting with flavor and fantastic.

Our server, Naomi, was a star - hands down the best part of our experience at Monkeypod last night. Fish and chips were tasty but came out of the kitchen lukewarm. Skip Sunday night dinner and go for breakfast. Their Mai Tai pancakes are amazing!

Although we were dissapointed with the food, the drinks, service and ambiance were impeccable. Food lacked flavor and the portions were small for the price. Next time we will just go for the drinks!

We had a reservation at 3:15, arrived about 15 minutes early, and checked in the hostess booth, letting them know we were early. The hostess was very short and said you’re gonna have to wait until your reservation time because we already have a 20-minute wait. I did not anticipate getting a table early, but I was just checking in and was put off by her attitude. After that slight bit of rudeness, I was concerned about how the rest of her evening would go, but everything went perfectly. I had placed on the open table reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary, and we were seated at an oceanfront table, which I was amazed by. Our servers were phenomenal, and the food and drinks were brought out in a timely manner. I was also surprised when we received two complimentary glasses of champagne with adorable roses cut in the shape of hearts and a celebration of our anniversary. Overall a fantastic evening.

Had a beautiful table overlooking the beach. The food was excellent. Our server, Sara, was friendly and attentive.

Monkeypod Kitchen is a great lunchtime spot. The service and atmosphere impress. The reception was warm and on time. As to the food, the deviled eggs starter was a disappointment - you need a microscope to view the lobster. The Fish Tacos were very tasty. We could not fault the crumbed Mahi Mahi main. We'll be back :)
